Rather have Pavlovic. I think Nelson is slightly overrated, and I like what the Cavs have done in getting Pavlovic and Jackson this offseason. We needed shooters and we got two young guys with alot of potential and decent size. And unfortunately we still have a backup PG in Ollie.

Nelson over McInnis in the starting lineup? Not this early buddy. Jameer is a rookie. McInnis has been in the league for a few years. You don't start Jameer over McInnis in my opinion.

We could, however, bring in Jameer off of the bench but I'd rather take Pavlovic.

Key Stats
PPG: 4.8 RPG: 2.0 BLK: 0.2
Games: 79 Minutes: 14.5 APG: 0.8

I mean if the guy gets playing time, he will do good. He was only getting 14 minutes with Utah. He's got some size, 6'7", 210 lbs. Maybe needs to bulk up a bit more but I think I'd take him over Jameer for now.

Sasha of course. We need some range out there and Nelson wouldn't provide it like Sasha would.

bulajacket ure crazy......nelson is underrated. he is the best point guard in this draft and he will show it. i am still surprised that he dropped to 20. i believe he is better than livingston, harris, and gordan

I agree, there is no way that Jameer would start over McInnis. Sasha is a better choice, Jameer doesn't fit into Cleveland's plans well.

I agree that Nelson is underrated, however, I don't believe he was the best point guard in the draft. I believe that would be Ben Gordon. I think he's an overall better shooter and he's a phenomenal defender. I think he's better, not by much, but better nonetheless then Nelson on both offense and defense.

The funny thing about this argument is that Cleveland could have had both players. Why they would draft Luke Jackson, a scoring wing player, when they just traded for Sasha Pavlovic, a better scoring wing player, is amazing.

Jeff McGinnis is not the long time solution at the point for Cleveland. He performed admirably this past season but if you look at his career he has yet to show that he is a consistent playmaker on a winning team. Jameer Nelson has a good a shot as any to be ROY next season and I think that Cleveland made a big mistake when they passed him up.

Sasha Pavlovic was very effective last season when he received minutes. I know most Cleveland fans do not know much about him but he is a fearless player who can not only knock down the jumper but is also very athletic and can get to the rim. I think that he is a better prospect than Luke Jackson (he is also a couple years younger) and I think that he has all-star potential down the road.

If I had to choose between the two I would choose Nelson b/c finding a good point guard has more of an effect on a team then finding a good wing player. However, if I was asked who had more potential to be great I'd say Sasha Pavlovic.

Ben Gordon isn't really a true point guard, he's more of a combo guard. I agree Nelson is a very underrated player, but Silas wouldn't start him over Jeff.

The topic heading was Jameer Nelson or Pavlovic and the majority of the post is refering to nelson vs having pavlovic so insshc I really have no idea what you are talking about.

Wow. I am shocked.

Could there be a reason Utah left Pavlovic unprotected? Hmmm......

Nah, he must be a great player. Generally, teams like to expose cheap, great young talents to expansion teams....

Nelson 6 days a week and twice on Sunday.

And its Jeff McInnis.........not McGinnis. How can you not know the names of your team's players?

Im pretty sure we "Cavs fans" are choosing Nelson for the simple fact that we need shooters. Jameer is a good player and all, but he needs to be somewhere to be a star. And we pretty much don't need him at the moment. We need someone who has range. So before your go on with your "troll" mode and bash other's opinions, really do some thinking before you spew your negitivity.

Sorry but Nelson can hit the 3 so you really have no ground to stand on. I watched almost every St Joe game this year. He can knock down shots. I know your from Clev an may not have seen the kid play more than 2 or 3 times. But trust me in no way shape or form is Pavlovic better than Nelson in anyway.

all right let me make this easy for you

we got pavlovic in a deal with the bobcats

on draft night, we chose jackson, when we could've had nelson if we wanted to take him at #10

so, AS AN ORGANIZATION, the cavaliers did not choose pavlovic over nelson, but jackson over nelson, and i dont think you can dispute the fact that jackson is a better shooter than nelson

not to mention he has much less questions surrounding his probable effectiveness in the nba

the topic question as stated is stupid and just wrong, we wouldn't have had nelson and jackson both, and no pavlovic

so why was not taking nelson so idiotic? that's right, it wasnt

personally i would not have minded taking nelson, but i'm happier with the luke pick, as jackson is a much safer selection and has the potential to be a very solid player for us, while nelson UNDENIABLY has question marks, and not just about his size

as for pavlovic, he had a decent nba season with limited minutes as a young 19-20 year old rookie, and he showed that he can play on the nba level. also a VERY GOOD pickup

if you still have no idea what i'm talking about, please re-learn the english language and the nba, thanks
