To me, the MVP race is down to 3 players. Sorry Culpepper, but losing to the Bears while fighting for the playoffs, is enough for me to eliminate you. No excuse, none. By numbers alone you have to go with Manning, however his team is 9-3. McNabb and Brady also have good numbers, and their teams are 11-1. This is gonna be a tough decision.
That is tough, but numbers arent everything so I'm going with McNabb. He may not be right up there next to Manning with numbers but he's close enough, and I like him better as a QB he's got more to offer as a QB then Manning, so what if Manning can throw a million TD passes in one game, McNabb threw 5 in the game against GB. McNabb can also do some running when its needed to get himself out of trouble, Manning cant. So for overall not based on numbers I'm saying McNabb.
What about Brees or Roethlisberger or Leftwich? Despite Manning's numbers, it's hard to give the nod to a guy who's working with the NFL's leading rusher along with Harrison, Wayne, Stokley, Pollard and Clark. You could plug any QB into the Indy system and they'd be putting up huge numbers. Brady is good, but Corey Dillion is having a career year. Last year would have been a good year to give Brady the MVP award. McNabb is playing great, but then again, T.O. is the NFL's best and leading receiver. If I had to choose between these three, I'd probably pick McNabb. But I think the MVP award should be given to someone who has very little help getting things done. Last year would have been a good year to give it to McNabb, too.
I am glad you guys dont actually get a vote for MVP. Manning will win the award, unanimously, as he deserves too.
Manning will win, although I think Brees even beats out McNabb. Brees has been amazing without much added talent. The case can be made that McNabb has quite a bit of extra talent to work with. Leftwich is up there, but I still don't see him making it. Culpepper doesn't enter the race after the Bears loss. He will end up with good numbers still, but at 7-5 I don't see him making a good run when going up against the others.

Antonio Gates and McCardell are no slouches either. Brees will not get it, cause of name recognition, and that does not make it right. Kind of like McNabb in 2000, when he finished 2nd in voting.
Brady deserves more consideration than Mcnabb or Brees. Mcnabb and Brees arent even most valuable player on thier team. TO and LT are.

I try to look at the MVP award as the one person their respective team can't live without. I know it ends up being more based on stats than anything, but I don't think it should be. For example... You could make a huge case for Mike Vick as MVP this year. His numbers have been crap, but without him, Atlanta would be 3-9 right now, not 9-3.

Put a decent passer in the offense in Altanta and they are as good or better than they are now....take someone like Trent Green or Drew Brees and insert them in that offense with those weapons and will torch you....further, put Manning in that offense with that defense and hes 11-1 or 12-0 right now....
Peyton Manning will win it easly. As for Drew Brees he'll probably win the Comeback player of the year. Big Ben will win the offensive rookie of the year.

He was the Offense for that team. None of those guys even played after that year.

McNabb is the heart and soul of this team. Ask any player on the EAgles, they all say the same thing it's No 5's team. To quote freddie last year, who needs fate when you have five. It's a shame, that he got hurt in that game.
