<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Houston star Steve Francis has dropped his objections about being traded to Orlando, possibly paving the way for the Magic to send Tracy McGrady to the Rockets. When news of a prospective deal broke earlier this week, Francis was adamant about not wanting to leave Houston. Orlando general manager John Weisbrod then put talks off until after the draft Thursday night. But Francis' agent, Jeff Fried, told the Magic that there were no objections about coming to Orlando, and a call between Francis and Weisbrod after Thursday's draft smoothed matters even more. `I couldn't say we're really closer to anything, but this was a good first step,'' Weisbrod said early Friday. Said Fried: ``Steve was very impressed with the way John has a vision for the team, and the way he wants to win. It seems they really hit it off.''</div> <div align="center">Link</div> I think it's safe to say that this trade is defiantly going to go down. With Jameer Nelson supposedly playing as the backup PG, the Magic would pretty much have the PG position on lock.
Its good they were able to talk things out like proffesionals,I think if this trade goes down both teams will get better.BTW Orlandos possible line up would look pretty nice if this trade happened. C-Cato PF-Dwight Howard SF-Drew Gooden SG-Mobley PG-The Franchise/Jameer Nelson

PG: Francis SG: Mobley SF: Dwight Howard PF: Drew Gooden C: Cato Then Nelson, Hill, Pat, Bogans, DeClreq, maybe a big man that Magic sign/trade for, etc... College Player of the Year, an All-Star and last year's starters on the bench makes for a pretty deep team. The linup could also be scrabeled with Nelson coming in and Gooden/Cato/Mobley coming out, depending on opposing team's size. Seems like a definite playoff team in the East to me.
Francis is a frontrunner. Once he finally realize that we have a pretty damn good team he jumped on. Typical Francis.

PG - Franchise/Nelson SG - Mobley/Stevenson SF - Dwight/Bogans/Hill/Garrity PF - Gooden/Vajero(sp) C - Cato/Free Agent/DeClerq It could be very different tough...hopefully Wesbroid has everything planned out.
Good Franics is not a bad deal, although I would rather prefer Ray Allen. Of course, I would even trade McGrady for Medvedenko (seriously). I've said it before and I'll say it again. The guy shoots a million shots a game. He's lazy. He can't play D. He thinks hes the shit. I don't care if your backup isnt terrific, but if youre such hot shit then you don't go 21-61. You bust ass and make the players around you better. Lets get rid of this virus and look for a brighter future with our two rookies ( and Hill& Armstrong? )
This is a good sign for the Magic but if I were the coach I'd rather have Stevey hitting it off at the 2 instead of Point. If the deal went down this would be my lineup. PG: Jameer Nelson SG: Steve Francis SF: Keith Bogans PF: Dwight Howard C: Kelvin Cato 6th man: Mobley/Gooden

If it went through maybe he can play SF? If the trade went through I want to get Ray Allen here in Orlando.

Bogans shouldn't start. Mobley is a bit small for forward(6-4). And Francis is a also too small to play at 2(6-3). Heres my proposed lineup: PG: Francis SG: Mobley SF: Dwight Howard PF: Gooden C: Cato Then Nelson, Bogans and Hill would be huge as backcout backups.
the one problem with the season will be hill, if he stays healthy the magic will make the playoffs. with a run n' gun type of offense, i think the magic will do well. before yao, thats how francis and mobley played, howard can get ahead of the defense and get ready for the oop. francis said he didnt want to play in orlando because i liked houston too much. it was a normal reaction for someone who connected with his team. i think he is very excited to play here now. francis and hill should be a great one-two punch, mobley will stretch the defense, howard will learn, and gooden will do good on the boards.
