<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bulls operations chief John Paxson had time to exhale Friday while his three draft picks met the media, but Paxson won't have long to rest before gearing up for the next phase of his rebuilding process. Free agency opens July 1, at which time Paxson will address his restricted free agent, Jamal Crawford, as well as pursuing some more perimeter help. Paxson addressed some needs Thursday night by drafting Connecticut guard Ben Gordon, Duke forward Luol Deng and Duke guard Chris Duhon. ''These are great additions, but we still have a long way to go,'' Paxson said. ''We still need to add some guys, so we definitely will be exploring the free agent market and what veteran help we can get from there. ''We're going to lose a few players. We've already lost Marcus [Fizer, to the expansion draft]. Kendall Gill played well for us, but we'll probably try to get a younger player.'' Paxson also will replace Scottie Pippen, who plans to retire. Among the free agents Paxson will consider is Atlanta Hawks small forward Stephen Jackson, who has said he would love to play for Paxson and coach Scott Skiles. Skiles coached in Phoenix when the Suns drafted Jackson out of DePaul. Paxson will be able to offer the mid-level exception, which is expected to be around $5.5 million, but Paxson would like to split that amount between two players.</div> <div align="center">Full Story</div> According to the article it seems as if Paxson is considering taking Stephen Jackson in. With rumors swirling around of Crawford leaving, Stephen Jackson would be a good pickup.
Last I knew of, Jackson didn't want to play for a team that isn't entirly championship caliber. But if they can land a player with his potential, I say go for it. But I still say they should also pick up a good PF in case Chandler craps himself on the court again.
Jackson is a free agent, which means that yes he does have a choice on which team he wants to go to. The Spurs have offered, the Bulls, many more. He has plently of choices and it all depends on what his agent will do. And you must not know anything about other players in the league because Jackson lead the Hawks in just about every catagory last season.
Jackson would be a nice pick up for the Bulls if Crawford leaves. It will give them a starting shooting guard, unless they plan on putting Gordon there. But, either way, gives em a good player and it would be a great replacement for Crawford.
