What is the pg situation...Banks is a fast-break guard and with more exp. he could become a good fit for the C's kind of playing style. Atkins will be a good mentor for him, but what do you think about starting him?
    pg-banks
    sg-davis
    sf-pierce
    pf-big al
    c-raef

I think that Banks will eventually start, but not right away. I'm pretty sure Atkins will start off the season as the starter. Rivers will ease Banks into the role. As far as your proposed lineup, I think Jiri will be the starter again instead of Ricky. Jiri is a better defender, and Ricky is a great sparkplug off the bench.

You're probably right, I like Ricky coming off the bench a lot. When Pierce comes out Ricky can take over where Pierce left off. But by the end of the season I hope this will be their lineup

    PG: Marcus Banks
    SG: Ricky Davis
    SF: Paul Pierce
    PF: Al Jefferson
    C: Kendrick Perkins

Dont be suprised if you see Banks starting right off the bat. A camp with the starters and this kid is ready to go. He probably could have started last year if Carroll and Obie put their pride in their pocket and played this kid when they should of. Instead they screwed with his head and confidence. Everytime this kid started to excel, he was benched.

Looking at the rotation we got I see the starting lineup as

    C-Lafrentz
    SF-Welsh
PF- Reed but likely whoever we get in FA
    SG- Truth
    PG- Atkins

    Bench

West will by seasons end be the main PG,possibly ahead of Atkins who may be traded once one of the two PGs develop.

Banks will be off the bench mainly in the first half but will sit when it counts. I aint giving up on him by any means but he is gonna take time.

Davis- Will be on the floor a lot at the two guard but beware. This guy will not see the second half of close games due to matador defense.

Allen- If he plays as he did in college, expect him to see second half minutes in defensive contests.

Mccarty- The sparkplug who I think slowly gets pushed to back of bench.

Jones- This guy I think is going to blossom into the backup three and split minutes. He will be the teams most improved player.

Perkins- Will get about 10 minutes and will contribute on the boards

Jefferson- See Perkins although if he stays out of foul trouble and boards like he can,he will see more time.

    Prediction-

Look for a winger to be dealt for a big at some point. I am thinking Davis. Particularly since he is cap friendly and the potential for the draft picks to pan out. I know a lot on this board like him. Why? Beyond me. He is a one dimensional player who if he keeps him antics down will have decent trade value. Jones,if he blossoms as expected could also bring in a servicable big.

Prediction- 38 wins and another 8th seed. Will have a more promising future however and will not be a playoff embarassment.
