McNabb should have won MVP honors last year and/or the year before, I agree.

Peyton will win it, it's a shame that during McNabb's best year Peyton's on this record setting trend. Peyton's stats are way too good for Brady or McNabb to have a chance

Faulk won award that year, had 26 Tds(more than Mcnabb) had 2200 yards only 1100 less than Mcnabb, and averaged more per touch than Mcnabb averaged per attempt.</div>

McNabb took a team to the playoffs with Darnell Autry and as his starting RB, and Torrance Small, Charles Johnson and Na Brown as his WR's. He was the Offense for that team. None of those guys even played after that year.</div>

The rams are like 27-0 when faulk rushes for 100 yards in a game. That is why when he was producing like that he was MVP.

Maybe MVP this year will be like Oscars where a person gets an award for previous years work. It's a shame if McNabb gets nothing, and Peyton will get his second in a row. No offense to Manning, but he hardly deserved it last year considering that year in and year out he has the best o-line and WR and RB. That's why their defense sucks, all their money is in the offense. When Manning wants a 35Mil signing bonus, he then cant bitch about their defense sucking, when he sucks the money up like a hoover.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eagles4Life)</div><div class='quotemain'>Ever heard of a little guy named Ladanian Tomlinson?? Antonio Gates and McCardell are no slouches either. Brees will not get it, cause of name recognition, and that does not make it right. Kind of like McNabb in 2000, when he finished 2nd in voting.</div>

Sure, but he had LT and Gates last year...what did he do then? The fact is, this year, he has been the team. When LT went down with an injury, Brees still got it done.

I also disagree with the notion that MVP should go to the biggest impact player on a team. MVP simply means the most valuable player, the one player that would add the most value to any team. With that in mind, there is only one player that is standing out as being above and beyond the rest: Peyton Manning. No one is even close to him in stats or how well a franchise can build around him. He is, without a doubt, the MVP.

Brees, McNabb, TO, LT, Vick, Roth, and the others are all potential MVP's of their teams, but when it comes to the league, there is no question who is above and beyond the rest.

I voted mcnabb on this. All he ever needed was a wr and look at the eagles rolling thru the nfc. I realize manning has the record in store but im looking at the eagles and them losing 1 time. Mcnabb has also been known for a low qb rating and look at his rating this year. What manning is doing doesnt come to a suprise at all. But mcnabb was bickerd for his accuracy and look at his season. My vote mcnabb for the mvp.

Hell, the Eagles struggled through the AFC North. 5 point win over Baltimore, 3 point win over Cleveland, and a loss to Pittsburgh... excuse me, a blow out loss to Pittsburgh.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....?

If you want to compare them, they both played NFC north.
    vs Minnesota
    Manning 268 yds 4tds
    Mcnabb 245 yds 2tds
    vs Chicago
    Manning 211 yds 4tds
    Mcnabb 237 yds 1td
    vs Detroit
    Manning 236yds 6tds
    Mcnabb 356 yds 2tds
    vs Green Bay
    Manning 393 5tds
    Mcnabb 464 5tds -Man Greenbay's pass D sux

    Totals vs like opponents
    Manning 1100 yards 19 tds
    Mcnabb 1250 yards 10 tds

Both Players were 4-0 in those games.

Here is an interesting way of comparing QB's it adjusts for the defenses they play, and compares vs other Qb's in same situation. It also gives credit for scrambling QB's, FD, etc.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>I try to look at the MVP award as the one person their respective team can't live without.</div>

I?ve always struggled with this one. I agree to some extent, but I think it is the leagues most valuable player, not the most valuable for their team. You can?t rule out a good player just because he plays in a good system either, whether it be Manning, McNabb, or whoever. Furthermore, I don?t think the MVP should be picked until the season is all over.

I think McNabb is having a really nice year, and the Eagles are too. I think Owens is the most MVP worthy off of that team. Watching the replays from yesterday, there were multiple receivers open on most plays. It doesn?t take a great quarterback to look good in games like that. I?m not saying that McNabb isn?t playing well?.just the contrary.

However, I like to think that Most Valuable is just that - the most valuable player period.
I do not think that I will look at the league a couple years from now and see that Harrison, Wayne, and Stokley are all #1 receivers in the league with their respective teams. They are sure playing like that now. I think they are all good receivers, but I think Manning is causing them to over-achieve. Its not as near as bad of a situation as Troy Aikman making Alvin Harper look good, but it?s the same idea to some extent.

If you are going to look at it based on just valuable on the team, why not Roethlisberger? He seems to be the main thing that changed at Pittsburgh, and its obvious their fortunes this year are completely different. Personally, I think he?s doing a good job, but I wouldn?t consider him the most valuable player of the league.

In Brady?s defense, I?m not sure what he would have to do to be MVP material. The way their team is set up and plays, the offense isn?t designed for him to get Marinoesque numbers. Besides, Belichek has us all convinced that he can plug-and-play just about anyone into any position and keep winning.

I would say Manning should be leading, with Owens second. Also-rans should include Brady, McNabb, Vick, Brees. It would be nice to find someone off of the Jets to include, but there has been less consistency. It would also be nice to find a Bills player for the too little too late award, but I came up empty there too.

Brady will have to live with Super Bowl MVPs. He will get over it, at his HOF induction speech.

Just so you guys know. The Colts have 4 former first round picks in skill positions, Harrison, James, Wayne and Manning. Eagles only have McNabb.

Colts have 3 reciever projected to have 1000 yards, and a 1000 yard rusher. Eagles only have 1 reciever, and no rushers.

If what constitutes an MVP is doing more with less, McNabb is the clear choice in 2004.

Man you want it both ways, I knock westbrook, no he is great, I knock Pinkston/#3 reciever, no they are good, I knock Mcnabb, he is better cuz he has no talent around him. Make up your mind, I will conceed that Mcnabb is doing more with less if you conceed TO, Westbrook, Pinkston, and that other reciever, LJ, and Chad all SUCK worse than any other players in the league.
