According to ESPNNews, the Magic are trying to bring a 3rd team into the deal and that team is Golden State.

The trade would work like this.

Magic trade: McGrady, J. Howard, Gooden, Gaines and Lue
Magic get: Richardson, Jones, Francis, Cato, Robinson

    Rockets trade: Francis, Mobley, Cato
Rockets get: McGrady, Lue, Gaines and J. Howard

Warriors trade: Richardson, Robinson and Jones
    Warriors get: Mobley, Gooden

I'm still looking for the Link

That trade is garbage. You can't give up Jrich unless its going to be for somebody that can draw the crowds. Nobody is going to watch Mobley or Gooden. But let's say if it was Francis or for some other exciting to watch player, yeah I might do it.

If we do this trade to get Gooden back home we have to get rid of Eschmeyer too.

I'm kind of iffy on this trade proposal. I don't think we need a player to draw crowds, afterall, we did average 16,000 in attendence last season for a team that hasn't made the playoffs in over a decade. Talk about loyalty.

I guess you're right. Now that I think about it. It would force Dunleavy to prove himself to the doubters as a potent scorer, and it would put Pietrus in the spotlight. But man do we need to get rid of the all the guys we develop? I still think Jrich can be that all star player if he gets the right defensive coaches and proper instruction on his perimeter shot. And to me Jrich is the guy who can be a leader on this team. I don't think its going to be Dunleavy.

Yea I agree. I also think we should be keeping these guys together unless someone comes with a great offer. I don't think this is one of them.

How about bringing Paul Pierce back to the bay area.

I don't know but I hope Mullin can take advantage of Danny Ainge's generosity in trades.

throw the wizards in there and it can be like this:

Magic trade: McGrady, J. Howard, Gooden, Gaines and Lue
Magic get: Richardson, Jones, Arenas, Cato, Robinson

    Rockets trade: Francis, Mobley, Cato
Rockets get: McGrady, Lue, Gaines and J. Howard

Warriors trade: Richardson, Robinson and Jones
    Warriors get: Mobley, Kwame, Jeffries

    Wizards trade: Kwame, Arenas, Jeffries
    Wizards get: Francis, Gooden

warriors get a little better value at kwame still young and will defiently get better. also pick up 3rd yr jarred jeffries. francis goes to a team that he said he wuld love to play for(home..md/dc) and the magic dont get so much..jrich,francis,howard...chirst thats to much....but they still get a great PG and a great SF and young..to rebuild.

damn i shuld be a manager or something

Oh god no. That trade would definitely not make any sense because we got Biedrens and Murphy who Mullin wants to keep on the squad.

Substitue Dunleavy for Richardson, and I would say go for it. Otherwise, HELL NO. I am not giving up Richardson for Mobley because basically that is what it comes down to for us. Look at Orlando, they would get Richardson AND Francis. No way.

The trade would work out but I think the Rockets/Magic deal would be better. I kinda like Golden State's squad the way it is with Dunleavy, JRich, And Peitrus.

Why? Arenas, Jefferies, and Kwame to get Francis and Gooden isn't worth it.

I would say it is. Francis is an upgrade over Arenas, and Gooden has even more potential than Brown IMO.

The first trade is pretty bad, to be nice. Jason Richardson is better than Mobley, and I'd take Clifford Robinson and his defense and offensive skills over Gooden as well. And even if you don't think Clifford is better than Gooden, it's not like Gooden would even start over Murphy, and he can't play the center position. That trade makes no sense for the Warriors. And the same thing for when you add the Wizards, except it's almost a fact that Cliff is better than Kwame Brown. So I'd say no to both trades.

yea, I just don't see any way Mullin makes this trade. He is desperate to improve this team in any way possible but I don't see how this move would accomplish much of anything.

Francis is 5 years older than Arenas, he isn't old, but Arenas is the age of players that are rookies this year or last year.
Depth is also important, and losing 3 players to get 2 isn't worth it when you aren't really upgrading. Gooden doesn't have more potential than Brown, I like Gooden though, but he's erratic and both offense and defense, if you give him full minutes at the 4 though he'll be a beast on the boards.

Jefferies I don't care that much but I don't agree with those 3 for Francis and Gooden.

Yea 3 rebounds a game at the PF spot while playing 30 minutes from an old man is great, but Cliff is a very good defender and has the range.

Didn't we already pass on Gooden once? I don't like these trades either. Getting rid of Richandson will surely piss off a lot of fans like when we dumped arenas. You know everyone is waiting for Richardson to dunk everytime he has the ball.
Does this put the onus on Peitrus or Dunleavy to be the superstar?

No...I would hate to see Jrich leave. IMO only the Rockets and Magic will benefit from this trade. Forget about a 4 way trade with washington..they won't let Kwame leave.
