I know for many of you, we have seen Juan Dixon gives us some sparks but at times we have seen him give us nothing. Now that he will go into his third year do you believe he definitely has something to proove to the organization and to the fans. Or do you believe he has been progressing nicely and soon to be a star in DC???
me myself like juan dixon off the bench. i know he will never be a startin PG or SG in the nba. But i do belive he could make an excellent back up PG. he might take some dumb shots at times..but his speed and his defence is excellent. he steals the ball at ease and his offense aint that bad if he passed a little more. i belive he will either be a spark off the bench this yr or culd be packaged ina trade if wiz trys to pull one more move(for a nice cener..maybe PF n move kwame to C) i hope to see juan dixon stay in washington tho...hes a fan favorite and a good story.
I like Juan.....however, his defense is average at best. He gets a lot of steals. The only problem is that to get those steals, he gambles. How many times have you seen him gamble for the steal, fail to get the steal and watch the opposition make an easy uncontested jumper? Unless he can learn a little discipline, he will be a situational player in this league.
Dixon has all the quickness to be a good defender, but doesn't put the effort and is too much of a gambler on defense, he seems to always get beat by players you know he can keep up with. He can be a good backup, not starting caliber in the league because he's not a true PG, and is wayyyy too small to be a SG, but he's a good backup. He could also be a good addition for us if we wanted to make a trade.
You Know what i read what you guys put ... i have seen J Dixon at his best and to tell you the truth. Being a good fan and all i feel he has something to proove. I have seen him playing since he was a sophmore at Maryland. He can do better and i feel he needs to step it up a notch. Me as a fan wants to see him give more. It seems he sort of have lost the fire he once had. And i hope he takes this summer time to really make an effort for next season cause i would surely love to see that explosive fire he had. Maybe he might need a pept talk with coach Gary Williams but he most definitely needs to proove people he wants it.
I think Juan Dixon should be a much better player than he has been the past few years, I thought he would do better. The way he's been playing I think the best he could be is a role player, I hope he makes me eat my words.
To me he does not have the athleticism to be an undersized shooting guard in the league. Nor does he have the point guard skills to run a team full time. He is a dreaded "tweener". I can see Steve Blake getting more of a chance than Dixon at this point. Of course Dixon has something to prove this year. He needs to prove that he is worthy of the 17th overall pick Jordan used in 2002.
