There is a third option if the Warriors want to save cap space for a free agent in the future and that is trae dampier for future 1st round picks and cash that way they will have picks they can used to either move up on the draft or trade for a restricked free agent. It is not necessary for the Warriors to take another player that might take cap space.

I like the grizzlies offer best. I think Posey would be a good pickup, for the warriors.

That would be sweet. Pietrus and Posey would make an incredible duo on defense.

Just so you know, there is a lot of talk about Dampier down here in Dallas.
I think it was very close to a done deal on draft day, but Dallas is still holding
it's cards for Shaq. They might get tired of waiting and go after Dampier.
Take a look at this list:
Walker, Stackhouse, Laetner, Josh Howard, Devin Harris, Najera, Bradley, Fortson

What would it take? My choice Walker for Dampier+cap filler

Hey, if you limit your list to guys that GS didn't already trade away once,
you might as well go take a nap.

How about Devin Harris + walker. Walker is a small forward who's just fat looking. or Damp and take Eschmeyer back for Walker.

That's true, I never looked at it that way. Seems like everyone in the NBA has been a Warrior atleast once.
The warriors are kinda like the Ellis Island of the NBA. It's just a staging area until you get your papers.
