Courtvision posted this in the NBA basketball forum about the free agents but, I thought this topic was a little different because here we're talking about the Bobcats SIGNING free agents not the available free agents so I hope I dont get in trouble for this.

Out of the list of Free Agents there I think the Bobcats should pursue Rafer Alston for sure because we need a point gaurd and he would be a good player to use because of his pass first mentality. There arent many pass-first point gaurd there score first point gaurds therefore dubbed as "scoring gaurds". I think Rafer would work good with Kapono, Sampson, White, Okafor, Robinson and whoever the Bobcats keep on there roster.

Does anyone have a clue as to whether the Bobcats will actually spend money on free agents? They have a lot of cap space, but I am not convinced they will actually use it. I think they are committed to spending as little money as possible. So I think you can scratch any decent restricted free agent, because I don't think they will get into a bidding war over anyone.

Dude what are you talking about they barely have any cap at all. They have 1/3 of what other NBA teams have. They're going for low salary players because they have potential and the 'Cats need some cash or need to wait to sign big names.

They have about $12 million in cap space, according to what I've read. They have no big contracts at all. $12 million is a lot of money.

They are not expected to keep Lonny Baxter, J.R. Bremer, Marcus Fizer, Maurice Carter and Desmond Ferguson. They already traded Aleksander Pavlovic and Zaur Pachulia. </div>

They have to sign Frahm, Slay, Trepagnier and Woods, and they still need PG's, but that's who they want, and some will get cut obviously.

I think the Bobcat's should persue Darvin Ham, an energy player who can create and throw it down with athourity, he would be an immediate crowd pleaser. Also, we should persue Rafer Alston or Damon Jones and Rod Strickland. Rafer or Damon would be our starting point guard, they are both young and have shown they can run the point on teams that have lots of scorers. Strickland would be a great backup. He has lots of experience and could easily log a few minutes to lessen the load on the Starting guard. The only problem with him is his defense.
