NBA teams can begin discussing possible contracts with free agents on Thursday and the 76ers are showing interest in power forwards who can play alongside young center Samuel Dalembert. Right now, it looks as though Allen Iverson, draft pick Andre Iguodala and Kenny Thomas will form the perimeter, possibly leaving veteran Eric Snow as the odd man out.

Yeah maybe they can pull something off with Snow an Robinson in a trade to bring back a good young 4 to play with Sammy. Atleast we will move Robinson at some point. Seeing that he is only under for this year. So someone will trade but we will prolly have to take the longer contract. Which we seem to be having bad luck with getting long contracts on our books.

I really dont want to see Snow leave but Robinson I dont really care about,if we want are team to be a defensive team then we should keep Snow.

I think the Sixers should definitely package Snow and Little-Dog up trade them to someone for a guy with some size that could help out Sammie in the paint. 76ers could actually get a pretty good player for those guys too. I kinda think they should try and do something with Tyson Chandler or Jerome Williams.

You guys need to consider who would be filling our point guard position if we were to give up Snow. We have no back-up and it would be ludicrous to move Iverson to the point, a position where his job would be to pass, after we just drafter Iguodala, a player who wants to pass to Iverson.

MaxBallin you definitely have a point there, I didn't even think of this. I think I'm just sorta sick of seeing Snow every year, I like the warm weather. (get it hahaha) Sike.

Yeah i'm sick of it also. I want a point who will and can knock down shots all the time. Someone who can hit the 3 or hit the middle jumper. Not someone like Snow who might hit the backboard if we are lucky. Someone who will be able to get him self off and his teamates. We don't allways need a pass first pg. We need him to be able to fill it up when he has the chances to do so.

I think we are past that with him he had 6.8 apg 2nd highest only to his rookie year of 7.5. But if you put the players around him and he trust them he will give it up. I would think he knows he needs his teamates by now. He can't do it all on his own.

An ideal PG for the 76ers would be Jason Terry. Unfortunately, we don't live in that perfect world, and I highly doubt we would be able to sign JT. But stepping back into reality, Billy King seriously needs to work some magic at the PG position. Snow defensive ability helps us quite a bit, but we finished #28 in scoring, 2nd lowest to the Raptors. So obviously we're lack more scoring opposed to our defense.

We all know about Snow & Iverson, and how well they compliment each other. But they’re great chemistry towards one another just doesn’t cut it anymore. We need a PG that can score and is decent on the defensive end. They are many that come to mind, PG such as Jeff McGinnis and Jason Terry are the first that popped up in my head, but acquiring eitehr one of them would be a long shot. So who would you guys would consider taking in?

I wouldn't really mind Terry either..what about that Hart guy from the Spurs? He's not that bad really.

It's not the worse proposal, but he's a shoot-first PG, and that's what we don't need. Crawford is 20-Point scorer, Allen Iverson is a 25+ Point scorer, Glenn Robinson is a 20+ Scorer and then you have Kenny Thomas whom is starting to get more involved in the offense, so I don't think it would work. Before we know it, we would end up similar to the Dallas Mavericks.

that would be kinda cool, Dallas plays an uptempo game and scores a ton of points per game. I really like Tyson Chandler and would like to see him in a sixers uni next year, is there any possibility of that trade ever happening (who do we have that Chicago would actually want for him)

I dont think it would be cool, remember defense wins chapionships! The best defensive team could beat the best offensive team any day.

But I do agree about bringing someone like Tyson Chandler to the team he doesnt have to be anything big just come off the bench and help produce in the fonr court.

i have heard rumors that houston is intersested in snow.

after trading francis to orlando, they need a pg because none of their pg's will get the job done
(they have a 39 year old marc jackson, tyron lue and mike wilks)

houstons coach van gundy also seems to like snow.

the big question is which player would philly get in return?

maybe a third team needs to get involved here.

another thing may be Corey Blount coming over from the Celtics and playing for O'Brien, that would fill the big man spot that O'Brein said he wants to model his team for. I like the signing if we can do it, he is a decent big man who can help defensivley with Sammy down low

I don't want blount just seems to much like the deal for buckner to me. I don't want to give our money to a guy like this. I would much rather change the team through trades with LiL Dog an Snow. Before I signed someone who is average.

You didn't say Corey Blunt, did you? We had him like a few years ago and he didn't do isshhh for us. He is a normal bench player who's known as being one of the top 5 softest power forwards in the league. Remember Sammie is bony skinny and if it's anyone who comes over to help him it has to be someone who is tough and not only has height but they need to be able to bang around unlike Corey Blunt.

but he had his best season's playing under O'Brien and wouldn't cost too much to sign him, all i'm trying to say is we need a bigger body to play and there aren't really many options available. We all know Dampier isn't coming here, so who else is their?
