Are The Kings Going to Be Better Than The Lakers Next year in the Pacific Conf??

Since The Lakers are going through So many changes this offseason,Shaq leaving town via trade,Kobe may or may not stay in LA,Jackson gone as Coach, and some people saying that it's all over for the Lakers..

Can The Kings be able to make a run at being the best in the Pacific??

I'd like to hear from not only Kings fans on this, but Laker fans as well [IMG]

I,for myself, say if the Kings really wanna dominate the NBA West/Pacific,all they need to do is bring Defensive players to win games

Who else dare's to answer this thread???

    they really need defense.
without it, they may be able to dominate in the division, but without it, they wont be able to get past the WCF.

That's something they need to work on..Actually they should have worked on it a few years back when the Lakers and the Kings were going at it in the Western Finals

If the Kings truly wanna take over the Regins from the Lakers, than there gonna to have to get better, younger Defensive players in order to counteract with the Lakers

Of course i'd love to see the Kings Dethrone the Lakers as best of the Pacific Conference [IMG]

Kings are going to be without a doubt the head of their division. Now that Kobe Bryant is supposedly going to be a loner in LA, I doubt he will exceed as much as he think he will. The Kings on the other hand are still alive and well, and when they get Bobby Jackson up and running again and Mike "All-Star" Bibby playing the way he has play, I don't see why the Kings shouldn't be #1 in their division.

Yes, the Kings could possibly be at the top of the Pacific Division, but in terms of themselves being the top team of the Western Conference and winning a championship, absolutely not. As we've already witnessed time after time, year after year, the Kings are a team of the regular season. They look so flashy, and at times so dominant, but when it comes down to playoff time, with critical games on the line, they're nowhere to be seen. Heck, if you don't believe me ask Peja, Webber, Bibby, Miller, and Doug Christie. These five players have amazing talent, but they are not willing to step their game to different levels and they'd rather point fingers at the refs, their opponents, rather than taking a look at themselves in the mirrior wondering what they could've done to get their teams over the hump. I as a Laker fan, hate the Sacramento Kings, but the Maloofs do an excellent job of putting together a winning team on the Arco floor, but in the sense of one day hoisting up a championship trophy, NEVER.

I just love speaking the truth. The Kings fans are always quick to believe the hype surrounding the Sacramento Kings year after year with their flashy offense, and with themselves averaging over 100 points a night, but as long as you have individuals like Adelman drawing up gameplans in the playoffs, and players like Bibby, Webber, Peja, and Miller stinking it up in critical games during the playoffs, then I'm sorry that team will not even smell a championship in Sacramento. And what's so funny is the King fans blame the Lakers for their failures. Now, at least the Lakers step their game to different levels, at least they always perform in the playoffs and come together as a team, (if you throw out 2004 of course) and at least they do whatever necessary to win. There is a reason why past history and history in this decade speak for themselves. The Lakers are a winning franchise with players that want to win, and the Kings just have players that play in the regular season and just tank it in the playoffs headed for another early vacation.

Emo,you made your points about the Kings and all,but don't lump all Kings fans for making excuses for the team...I Know why the Kings lost, cause we weren't well prepared, and i'm not blaming the Lakers for our own faliures...i think we can win a championship ring,if we get our act together, and play better defensively..but i'm not saying that will happen right away

I Believe wer'e a strong contender to be at top of the Pacfic conf, but my thing is can our players get their act together, and can we have a better defensive team???...i guess next year will be put up or shut up???

and what about the laker fans that were so quick to hype up the past season with their 4 HOF's making comments about the rest of the league might as well just mail in the post season because it had already been decided?

oh wait... i guess the pistons didnt get that memo

....point is it goes both ways & frankly, im tired of hearing about what fans think of other fans and would much rather talk about the game rather than the fans.....

See, one thing I can't stand about you fans is how you always point fingers at other team's fans. This isn't about the Los Angeles Lakers or the fans. This thread was made about the Kings possibly contending for the Western Conference crown or possibly winning a championship. I made my facts regarding that, and if you can't make a legitimate comeback, you really shouldn't post anything that doesn't come out of this subject.

Stop all the whining and complaining. If you scroll up, I talked about the facts regarding your team and why they won't be winning a championship anytime soon. Now, if you'd care to criticize me and defend your team in the process, I'd be happy to work up a legit argument with you. [IMG]

    who's whining and complaining?
part of the problem Emo, is that you take any comment made against the lakers or officials as whining and complaining.

you were the first to bring up fans in this thread & now you try to turn it around so it looks like its on me? I dont dig that man.. i got nothing against you because of your team prefrence just as i got nothing against anyone for that. but you really cant think that you can start talking smak & not have someone call you on it.

yes there are maybe two times that i have made a comment about laker fans, and they were in jest. you on the other hand wear the issue how you percieve kings fans like a cause that you have to bring to the worlds attention.

i dont need to make a legit comeback for comments like that because im about the game not about its fans and making a snappy comeback to make everyone else go "ooooooooooooohhhhhhhh" brings nothing to the table. any two morons can take shots at eachother and accomplish nothing. it takes brains to interact on a higher level and leave the name calling and bad feelings to those that can not grow beyond their boundries.

I have seen you make good insightfull comments on the game, so i know you can do it.. what say we just leave the queens/fakers comments to those that can't come up with anything better.

and as far as the Kings next season goes.

i have said it before and i will say it again.... the kings will more than likely be at the top of the pacific division. currently i see no other teams with the talent and togetherness to do better (but we shall have to see... thats is after all why we play all 82 games in a season).

but for them to get past the WCF, they are going to need better defense. no defense, no finals and untill that changes i have to agree with Emo, they wont ever see a finals series.

It may have looked like I was getting on you, maybe you don't make excuses for your team's phoniness in the playoffs, I respect you for that because that can get very annoying, but a large majority of Kings fans act like that.

If you're referring to my posting style regarding the Kings, I like it. It's just a good way for archrivals to go at each other, creating decent arguments, and we can figure out who the real fans instead of the groupies. The way I post about the Kings I get it from radio shows that bring the same intensity and passion. Not only do they bring it, they always make sure to leave everything out on the line and to always have the last word.

I'm about the game too, and I listed my facts regarding why the Kings won't contend for a championship. But I also do my best to stick it to my rivals once in a while too. Just depends on how I'm feeling.

Just for the offseason. But once November rolls around, I have no choice.

you are right. i brought that up. But, there are very few here that i have seen point their fingers at other places than where it really belongs which is at the players and coaching staff. that may happen at other sites or around the water cooler, but I really havnt seen it here.

its annoying when any fans do that, and it happens all over... Case in point: one of the local radio's frequent flyers, a Lakers fan who actually said that Stern wanted to see the Lakers loose this year because it would boost the ratings only two weeks after saying that Stern wanted the Lakers to win because it would boost the ratings. Is that representative of ALL Lakers fans? no, it isnt but the problem happens with fans of every team in all reality.

Difference in style I suppose. While I am more than willing to point out where something went right wrong or indifferent with a team, I tend to not lay the smakdown in the same way....
