Im a little worried that our "Super Bowl" will be decided by what players sit and what players play in week 17....Anyone else concerned that the big game will become a dud because one of the teams will be severly crippled by playoff teams resting thier stars? At this point, it doesnt look like the Eagles, Patriots, Steelers, Chargers, Colts, or Falcons will have any reason to risk an injury in week 17? Am I worrying over nothing?....
I agree beef...thats why my money leagues end in week 16....but with this many teams I don't think we had a choice if I remember correctly.
We didnt....because of the overwhelming interesting in the league, we needed all 17 weeks to play out the schedule.....it couldnt be helped this year, and I hope it doesnt become a major issue, but I am worried about it....
No doubt is sucks for the teams involved. But in the AFC, most teams will likely play all 17 weeks. With Pittsburgh & New England fighting for home field through the playoffs, I doubt they sit anyone. The same might end up being true for the Colts, Chargers, and Jets. I guess we'll just wait and see. I feel bad for anyone who has Eagles though.
i got westbrook but i guess they shouldnt sit him out until the very end cause atlanta might come outta no where n take homefield
I remember when I first started playing Fantasy Football the Buffalo Bills were always resting their players near the end because of their dominant four year run. In those days, Thurman Thomas could single handedly get you to the Superbowl and then lose it for you because he sat out. Ah, the glory days.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>i got westbrook but i guess they shouldnt sit him out until the very end cause atlanta might come outta no where n take homefield</div> If eagles go into last week with one loss they will already have clinched, at one more loss by atlanta would mean week 16 they would be resting.
i know, but i dont mind it. im just happy i made it this far while missing the draft, although a loss wont be fun
The Eagles aren't going to rest anyone. The fact that they wouldn't pull guys out of their blowout win against the Pack tells me that resting guys isn't Andy Reid's style. A lot of coaches don't want to rest their players because they don't want them getting complacent. They already have two weeks to rest at that point, so there's really no point in resting them another quarter or a half.
i absolutely hate it when people rest someone. i think itll get the person will get outta their style. plus, why dont you just play most of a game anyways? if you didnt get injured the first 14 weeks, just do what you were doing, then ya wont get injured. just take your time.
