But he wants to gauge how much interest the Clippers, who are expected to make a run at Los Angeles Lakers free-agent shooting guard Kobe Bryant, have in retaining him. "The Clippers are my first choice, but at the same time, they have to step up to the plate,'' Richardson said. "They haven't done that yet. They had a chance to offer me an extension but didn't. If they think they can get Kobe, I can't knock them for that. But I need to see what they're thinking.'' </div> http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/nugg...2998223,00.html Apart from Kobe maybe coming, do you think we should keep Q-Rich, last year he took the most shots on the team and he wasn't the most effective or effiecient scorer on the team, and his defense wasn't impressive, but qould you want him back?
I think Q should stay in LA, and the Clippers should give him the contract he wants. I dont think Kobe will goto the Clippers, and Q is still young and actually wants to play for the Clips. He takes a lot of shots true, but the only other players that scored more than him were Brand and Maggette. Q also brings other things to the table, he can hit the 3 and get a good amount of rebounds (6.5 RPG in '04). Like I said keep him, he is only 24 and in his prime...
As much as I hate the thought of having someone with as big of an ego as Kobe in my beloved Clippers team, I think if he comes here, we would have GREAT success. We have a great wonderful team here but really, with no franchise player to build on. Elton Brand is an all-star no doubt, but he's not a franchise player. He doesn't have that killer i'm-the-franchise-go-to-me mentality that Kobe, Shaq, Tmac, Iverson all have. He is however, imo, THE PERFECT complementary to any franchise player (oh how I wish Yao would come...). He doesn't demand the ball that much, gets tons of boards, and puts up a solid 20-10-2bpg a night regardless of how many shots he takes. Also, none of our players in the Clippers have big self-inflated egos like the Shaq and the Lakers. Kobe will be the only one here. As much as I hate to see it, if Kobe comes to the Clippers, we might see our team in the playoffs sometimes in the near future!
I wish Q goes to Denver because I think thats the only place where he can reach his full potential playing with Melo, Boykins, Miller and the other guys, there would be good chemistry and the woul dbe really talented and comtenders every year. I would love the Denver Nuggets.

I believe he would fit well with the Nuggets, then Lenard could be the sixth man off the bench possibly. Who knows, he may stay in LA.
Be gone Q Rich! ... Kobe or no Kobe, I would like Richardson off the team...he forces too many shots and is a horrible defender...I've never really been much of a fan of his game, dating all the way back to DePaul ... As for a replacement, lets see what the free agent market has to offer...I don't think they have any in house products that can start at SG...
Stephen Jackson, Brent Barry, Ginobili, I heard Denver brought Manu in from Argentina, and I also heard that the Clips will likely not match an offer by the Nuggets for Q.
The news is that you guys wont match Q-Rich's offer. Who will start at sg? What will Livingston's role be this coming year?
