If you're in the area, you should go check this out. Lots of big name guys and up-and-comers like Aaron Brooks and Rod and Lod Stewart. I'm going to try and go as well because it looks entertaining.

I might go if they're actually competitive games.

Wow, that sounds like awesome fun. As long as it's for a good cause, it's great to see guys like JT and JC coming out to support it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jason Terry plays 82 NBA games a year with the Atlanta Hawks. Still, nothing could keep him away from a game with his alma mater, Franklin High School, when rival Garfield High is the opponent.

Terry, a 1995 graduate of Franklin, led the Quakers' floor show as his squad turned back a furious Garfield rally for a 115-110 victory last night in the nightcap of the fourth Hood Classic Alumni Tournament at Garfield.

Terry and Rainier Beach alum Jamal Crawford, now playing with the NBA's Chicago Bulls, came back for the event to honor their roots. The NBA guards will square off in tonight's tourney championship as Crawford helped Beach to a 111-101 win over O'Dea.

"It's big for the community for me to come back because the community gave me so much support to me when I played here," said Terry, who supplied 17 points, six assists and five steals from his point-guard position. "It's a joy for me to play in front of them and I hope it is for the fans."

Franklin was led in scoring by Alvin Snow, who had 38 points. Snow just finished his college career at Eastern Washington. Lovell Brown, a 1994 Garfield grad, led the Bulldogs with 33. </div>

Casual, did you go along to this? Sounds like it was a big success. That title game would be worth viewing, with JT vs JC [IMG]

Nah, I didn't get a chance to go. Sounded like it was a nice event, though.
