Since he's the star player on his team people just assume he'll play for them, but in the end it's his decision. Theres so many American players who have passed on the Olympics for whatever reason, why can't he do the same? If he passes it up, it shouldn't be a big deal. He wants to stay with his family this summer and prepare for the upcoming season - theres nothing wrong with that.
sounds like you mistake how i put that. i dont feel he HAS to go... just that he should be able to if he wants... and if for some reason he cant for whatever the reasons are... then that kinda sucks
