The kings have apperently signed John Edwards to a free agent contract today according to this Edwards is a 7'0 center with 98 career blocked shots (third all time at Kent State and shot an amazing 663 in the 02-03 season and tied a record of 6 blocks in a single game. while not virtually unknown, those that do know him, know him for his defense. check out his Kent State bio: http://dept.kent.edu/athletics/mbasketball/mbbio/edwards.htm

just surprised that they have obtained the two gaurds and another center and not gone to europe/asia for anything this year- its unlike petrie to not even really look at europe especially if they were looking at a center. but then again.... petrie is really not known for keeping the general public informed of his thought processes either.
