undefinedundefinedundefined We all have heard how O'neal not only likes Dallas but loves NEw york also, well i have the proposed trade which i think is outrageous but might be good.L.A. Lakers trades: C Shaquille O'Neal (21.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.9 apg in 36.8 minutes) L.A. Lakers receives: SG Allan Houston (18.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.0 apg in 36.0 minutes) C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes) C Dikembe Mutombo (5.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 0.4 apg in 23.0 minutes) Change in team outlook: +13.7 ppg, +5.9 rpg, and +1.4 apg. New York trades: SG Allan Houston (18.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.0 apg in 36.0 minutes) C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes) C Dikembe Mutombo (5.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 0.4 apg in 23.0 minutes) New York receives: C Shaquille O'Neal (21.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.9 apg in 67 games) Change in team outlook: -13.7 ppg, -5.9 rpg, and -1.4 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to L.A. Lakers and New York being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and New York had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting idea, but will never happen..at least with those players. Why would LA want Allan Houstan?? Kurt Thomas is good, but the Lakers can certainly get more for Shaq. All I know is Shaq better leave La la land, I want to see Shaq and Kobe play each other..
NY is giving up way too much, and I think if LA threw in Kareem Rush or someone extra it might work...Thomas/Mutombo/Houston for Shaq seems a lil steep for NY, acquiring an aging center who has maybe 2-3 good years left for: a rough undersized C who can get it done in the East, an aging shotblocker and an aging, injury-riddled shooter...hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe LA would be the one gettin robbed...
If anything I think LA are getting very little in return... who wants Mutombo, Kurt Thomas and Allan Houston are good... but Shaq is Shaq, he could help you win a ring in the same year he joins your team. As much as I would love to see Penny, and Shaq re-unite, I doubt this trade would work, but with Isiah you never know... though what would LA do with a injury prone Allan, a old and slow Mutombo, and a decent PF in Kurt Thomas? I wouldnt be surprised if Shaq doesnt go anywhere... I hope he leaves but its going to be very interesting to see who can match up contarcts, and quality players... and the NY Knicks just cant do that imo... but I would love it... 1. Stephon Marbury 2. Penny 3. Tim Thomas 4. Michael Sweetney 5. Shaq I like their chances... but not the chances that they could actually get him :thumbsdow
what in the sweet lords name is it with you people and TRADE ACCEPTED Due to L.A. Lakers and New York being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. L.A. Lakers and New York had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. i heard that crap with the person who thinks paul piercre is gettin traded for wesley person. NY aint gettin shaq hes goin to dallas Ny would have to give up to much and dallas isto get him without much hassle. Also when Mark cuban is rightin your checks you have a sense of security he wants shaq on the team he dont care what anyone thinx he wants shaq hes like Steinbrenner he will tell the GM the manager and probably Don (if he aint fired by then) to meet with shaq

Quoting youngballer:

what in the sweet lords name is it with you people and TRADE ACCEPTED
yeh please stop doing t6his crap unless you hear something on espn. This no personal attack to the guy that created this thread this is an attack at all of you as a group. j/k please stop doing these things these trades will most like ly never hapen just wishful thinking.
NY has no stars. to offer for a deal with the Lakers. Remember the Lakers want quality talent for shaq. All new york has is overpaid players.
If the Lakers will only take Dirk from the Mavs, then you know that they'll atleast want Stephon Marbury when trading Shaq... Besides that, what do the Knicks have to offer? Allan Houston's contract is way too big, Mutombo should retire, and then Kurt Thomas. Salaries probably don't work, but I don't think the Lakers would do a deal when getting Marbury, Tim Thomas, and Kurt Thomas.
WTF? Do some of you get stoned before coming up with these trade propositions? Honestly. Thats the WORST trade offer I have ever seen. Bar none. That is ridiculous beyond belief. I am speechless. I cannot tell which is worse.... DeeBum's trade proposal or Tripl3 saying he doesn't know because NY is giving up a lot
Yeah, thats way unbalanced. Thos eplayers are worth more than Shaq after they are put together. Tat would be taking way to many players from that team, and L.A. wouldn't really eb getting to much out of it. Shaq shouldn't go to NY anyways, he wouldn't work out there. Anyways, can we stop with the Shaq trades untill at least after the weekend. Maybe then we will know if Shaq's trade request is even granted. Thats what really matters if no ones realized. We may know by Monday, but who's to say how long it may take. Today was the first free-agent offer day. So, lets give the Shaq stuff a rest untill we know more.
I would really like to see Shaq in NY, but that trade isn't gonna happen. NOBODY is gonna take Dikembe's contract, NOBODY. Thats why Jersey had to pay, oh nevermind, if I think about how much he has made for what he has done the past few years I'll have to start crying. I like Houston alot, but he's staying in NY for the long haul to ride out that ridiculous contract he signed. You gotta like Thomas though, he plays like he actually wants to earn his paycheck, and his shot selection seemed to get better after he signed his big contract. I definately want to see Shaq play for the Knicks and I really like the Thomas, Thomas and Marbury trade except for the fact I'd like to see Marbury dishing to Shaq next year. I'd exchange Marbury for Houston and hope LA goes for it. Salary wise this might not make sense, but some other person is being paid right now to work that stuff out.
