If you didnt see nba.com It has pics of Kobe,K-Mart,Ginobili, and Nash. And its asayin teams can start talkin with free agents. I looked into who was restricted or not restricted. And Nash is not restricted. Anyways, what do u think is Nash's future? Do u think he Cuban will sign him or let him go? [IMG]

I think Nash will leave and Harris will do an awesome job of filling in his shoes.

Nash stays, and Harris-Nash will be a one-two punch even better than
    Nash-Van Excel.

Prediction: $12.5M per year for three years.

Sunshine, I'd say that you're right on the money, but I could see Nash making Cuban make the contract for 5 years. Players like the 'insurance' they get when they are up in age. I think that age will be the only issue regarding this contract. I'm sure Nash likes the direction that the team is going in (who wouldn't) and he'd stay.

I don't know about the years... Somewhere between 3-5.

I totally agree with you that years will be the issue. Everyone talks
about Nash getting older and his skills will diminish based on his style
of play. If Phoenix offers him five or six years at that money, it will
be hard for him to turn it down. If it were me, I'd give him top dollar,
but three years is it. Nash is a smart guy, I bet he's done well with
    his money.

Funny how contracts are. I remember years ago this town being
outraged that we would give $6M a year to a backup point guard
from Phoenix! Now he's a bargain.

Yeah he is at least they verbally agreed on a deal,I dont understand the game of basketball, obviously Nash isnt about winning if he goes to the Suns and leaves and one of the top 10 Franchises in the NBA (for the past few years),to me he is all about the money and thats what the Suns game him, plus IMO he isnt even woth the contract they game him.

Nash did the right thing.. He didn't see any loyalty on Cuban's part - to try to keep him in Dallas this offseason. His contract wasn't top priority, trading for Shaq was. Instead of re-signing and possibly being shipped off somewhere he didn't want to play, he got to sign with his choice of team. I'm sure he's choked to leave his friends on the team behind, but no guarantee Dirk will be back next season either, he could be in LA. If Cuban and the Mavs paid more attention to their current stars instead of continually trading for new ones, Nash probably would have signed for less money in Dallas. With all the uncertainty though, who can blame him?

btw, the Mavs won't be as good without Nash. When he was off the floor, it was like watching a chicken run around with its head cut off - the Mavs looked so disorganized and Antoine Walker would end up chucking a bad shot with the shot clock at 1. Good luck with Shaq, trading the core of the team for him - there won't be much of a team left, and in 3-4 years when he retires, the Mavs will be in the Western Conference cellar again.

Props to Nash for doing what he had to do. Phoenix will be a great team with him.
He was a great player for the Mavs. I'm in mourning....

But props to Cuban/Nelson for going with youth. I'm glad we're starting to get
something out of the draft. In three years, we'll be better off. I'm worried about
next year. (Is it time to trade for Nick Van Excel?)

Well if he really is getting signed by the suns. Well good luck Steve and you'll be missed. But i think we do need to go with Daniels. Young and talented
