Yeah if there is anyway of Mo-VC for Pierce, the Celts at least have to throw in Ricky Davis to make it an even trade. Plus if u think about it MO-VC for Paul the $ will not match up.

Boston trades: SF Jumaine Jones (2.2 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 8.9 minutes)
SG Paul Pierce (22.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.1 apg in 38.7 minutes)
Boston receives: SF Morris Peterson (8.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 26.1 minutes)
SF Vince Carter (22.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.8 apg in 38.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +5.7 ppg, -0.1 rpg, and +0.8 apg.

Toronto trades: SF Morris Peterson (8.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.4 apg in 26.1 minutes)
SF Vince Carter (22.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.8 apg in 38.1 minutes)
Toronto receives: SF Jumaine Jones (2.2 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 42 games)
SG Paul Pierce (22.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.1 apg in 80 games)
Change in team outlook: -5.7 ppg, +0.1 rpg, and -0.8 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Boston and Toronto being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Boston and Toronto had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting pgrudo00:</div><div class="quote_post">Sasha,

Are you talking about my comment? If so I just feel that AI has did the most he could for Philly and I feel that eventually there going to be nothing else to do but test the waters. You can't have the same nucleus every year and then say 5 years later win a ring, it just don't happen and that's in all sports.</div>
I don't think he has done the most he can, he still has a good 3-4 years ahead of him. In this time, he could get a good supporting cast, that will take him to where he once was. He probably won't get a good supporting cast mainly because of his style of play, but also because of the front office decisions. To say that Vince could, is totally absurd, because he would be in the same position that Allen is right now. If the trade were to go down, it would be hard for the front office to do anything to sign another superstar player to accompany Vince on the road to the championship.

There is no trade like this that has been announced.

Just because Vince wants to be traded doesn't mean you have to trade him. What's he going to then? Sit out the season? It won't help his value and his reputation.

No way! We just solved our problems with T-Mac, what makes you think we'd try our luck with Vince?

You would have to throw in Andrew Declercq for the contracts to match and I doubt the Raptors would do that, they want someone who sells tickets and Mobley/Gooden don't do that

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting pidandsid:</div><div class="quote_post">plain and simple - VC for Randolph and Anderson</div>
Theres no way the Blazers would do that.

Randolph is putting up a double double out west for Portland, and he's turning into their franchise player. Theres no way they would trade him for VC - a player who is often overrated and injury plagued.

Either way, I don't think its reasonable because neither team gets better from that deal. The raps get another 4 to go with a huge contract. As for the Blazers, they bring on salary, and lose their big guy. They have Abdur-Rahim but he's on the Market. And it's no guarantee that Carter brings them into the playoffs. He hasn't even done so in TO for 2 years.

The Rumors are FALSE.....and here's your proof:

"I really don't know anything about that (report)," Babcock said last night from Minnesota. "I don't know where that came from. I had a good conversation with Vince and nothing's led me to believe that's changed.

"Until he comes in and tells me he wants something, that's what I'm going to go on."

    Source: http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentSe...ol=970081593064

    and this one...

    "Air Canada Staying In Canada

A quick call to the Toronto office maintains Vince Carter has never asked to be traded, contrary to any other rumors flying around. Seattle on the other hand may look to a few other clubs such as the Celtics who have their own disgruntled star in Paul Pierce.

The Mavericks haven't responded yet but that could either mean they're either busy working on it or laughed it off."

Pretty good for a 1st post...

No way Vince even compares to pierce. Pierce is a superstar who hits clutch after clutch shot and can turn it on whenever he wants. Mo Pete is a career underachiver and Vince Carter has the talent but it goes wasted and he isnt a proven player anymore.

I think VC should go to Minesota [IMG]. KG would teach him to play the right way. KG and VC would be monsters [IMG]

whats mo pete got to do with anything?

why isnt vince a proven player anymore? you make all these claims, but have no substance to back up anything you say.

ps. how many raptor games did you even see last season?

We'll have to see what happens. That's all you can do. First thing that pops into my mind is we'll see if his Charity game in TO gets cancelled. If that happens, then Vince is out. I can't see Vince making these demands. I mean he was getting married this weekend. Anyone whose gotten married, knows there isn't much time to sit down and make out a trade list. At least that's my thought. This could just be hype, or it could have some value. The only reason I place any validity to this rumour, is because it came from ESPN.
