<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Supersonic:</div><div class="quote_post">And last time I checked Vince misses games every season. If I was offered Vince for Ray straight up I doubt I'd do it, so I'm not sure why I'd give up two more key parts for essentially one guy who's over 30, and while he's a good player, only gets 15 and 10 in the East. He is undersized in the West.</div> oh god...ray hasnt played a full season since 01-02 he's had 3 injury filled seasons...vince has had 2. 3 if you want to count last seasons 9 games missed. you call me a biased raptor fan, but your bias is obviously in full display too. ray has had his share of injuries as well. donyell can get it done, he got it done in utah, and he's a better player now. vince is worth more to a franchise then ray because of his poularity and guaranteed ticket sales. thats why the raps would want someone thrown into sweeten the deal, us including donyell and you guys including rashard makes it REASONABLE...maybe not in your opinion? fine. certainly not "desperate" as you put it. thats you being biased, not me <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rashard Lewis is 24, Luke Ridnour is 22. We are not going to be a contender anytime soon, I don't see the point of mortgaging future assets for players that, let's face it, aren't exactly proven winners either. I'm happy to trade Rashard, but I want younger guys back. It's a horrible deal for Seattle, end of story.</div> yea...your opinion means end of story i can see trying to carry on a conversation with someone who cant appreciate a difference of opinion is pointless. your just like a lot of other members of this board. you just dismiss a raptor fans opinion because you dont think a raptor fan can have a legit opinion...your bias is just as present. end of story
for who ever said its not making headlines its because it is still just a rumor. the only way it will be a huge headline is if vince says it himself and until vince says it its a bunch of garbage(i hope )
who even gives a fark if its a headline or not? what difference does that make? i could care less about headlines...i want good numbers and winning. retarded comment

THe very fact taht he just told an orlando newspaper that he was going to give Babcock a chance just puzzles me that now he wants to leave. Hmm, i think we may have overreacted a bit. But its still interesting to see the possibilites for VC trade. I know the "fans" on tsn.ca are asking for his head already. Talk about bandwagon fans.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Supersonic:</div><div class="quote_post">Why would we give up Ray, Rashard and Ridnour for essentially two players, one injury prone and one over thirty? I rate Marshall, but assuming Ray for Vince is the straight up part of the deal, I'm not going to give up Rashard and Ridnour for Donyell Marshall. Tell me, if you were Seattle, would you ship Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis and Luke Ridnour to Toronto for Vince, Donyell and Lamond Murray? Take off the purple coloured glasses.</div> I agree, that trade would favour the Raptors much more, if I were a Seattle fan I would disagree with that trade. Ridnour has great potential, give him a few years with Nick Collison and that can be scary. Rashard is young, could use improvement in the post, but to trade him for an older Donyell (who has a similar type game), wouldn't make much sense. If I were Seattle I would keep them. I would try to trade for Maggette and Marko Jaric, seems like a fair deal if the Raptors were to give up Vince, and lets say Donyell.
^^^ lol anyways..... While the source told Aldridge that Carter presented four to six different trade proposals to the Raptors, the team has not granted Carter permission to seek a trade and Babcock said that the team has no plans to trade Carter. from the article on espn.com HE HAS NO PLANS TO TRADE HIM and notice how is says A SOURCE when was the last time a source was right

I wonder what the 4-6 offers Carter gave to the raps, if infact he really wants a trade. How about: Toronto Acquires: Peja Stojackovic Bobby Jackson Darius Songaila Sacramento Acquires: Vince Carter Alvin Williams
no peja is a great player maybe one of the top 20 and jackson is a huge 6th man it wont happen the fact that the kings would lose to much

Peja will not get traded, if anyone is going away from the Kings its Webber.
Yea I know that Sac wouldn't do that, but its not out of the question if Vince is on the Market. The Kings haven't won the title in years, and have been contenders for the past 6 years or so and haven't been to the Finals. You can't trade C-Webb, because of his contract. Teams want Brad Miller, but you need a big guy to suceed in the West. They were willing to give up Peja in a Shaq deal. Vince isn't Shaq, but I don't see how they can lose in this deal. They get a true 1st option (C-Webb hasn't been one for over a year). But neh, it's just wacky proposal by me.

Why would the Kings want to give up the best shooter in the league (and an MVP contender), the best 6th man in the game and a great young prospect in Songalia for the often injured Carter and an average at best guard in Williams. This is the worst trade that I have ever heard.
:thumbsdow Seriously... give it a break people. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The broadcast report had an unnamed league source as saying "He (Carter) desperately wants out. Take out Ridnour, throw in Moiso and I'll ask where to sign. But giving up Ridnour and Lewis in the same deal and getting no youth back is stupid for Seattle.
If this is true, which is uncertain right now...Then I think Michelle Carter had a big influence on this. She's VC's mom, wife, cheerleader and agent when you think 'bout it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post"> Still don't like it, maybe because you like Rasheed you like Bonzi but he's not that good</div> i think bonzi is an alright player and i don't like rasheed's game just his attitude. rasheed fades away too much and is sorta passive on the offensive game for a dude who i think is immensely talented. Although, i think the major disjunction between me and other people is how we gauge vince's worth. i think he's a worth something but he?s not worth a superstar like an a.i. or kobe. i think most people on these forums inflate his value, he's a good player but not great so i would trade him before his value eviscerates.
