Plus they got Stack off the bench. Marquis Daniels and josh howard CAN PLAY and with Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson have a really good nucleus for the future. Mavericks Get Shaq and Keep nowitski. It also Clears cap room for Orlando so maybe they can sign a good young SG with there cap room. But...would this work?
That would be a good trade. I'm not sure if that would work out, but in the trade, the Mavericks are getting the bad side of the deal. They give up like 5 players and only get Shaq in return. The Lakers benefit from it and so do the Magic, haveing a team of younger players that would probably work out well togther. I don't know Id like to see what everyone else has rto say.

Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard for Steve francis would be worth it. Josh Howard and Marquis Daniels have proven to be future starts with what they displayed at the end of the season and in the playoffs. Plus Steve Francis is 27 years old whereas Dwight Howard is 18-19. Orlando needs a young Nucleus that goes with Dwight and by the time Dwight is Ready Steve Francis would be too old. Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard arent overated..there future all stars The Mavericks wouldnt really get cheated on this deal. They want to give up antoine walker and they only got STack so they can give him away to the Lakers. Mark Cuban wants a championship and i think this is the only reasonable way without losing as much as he would lose in other trades. I don't think 27 is too old at all. Steve should be entering the prime of his career soon. Sam Cassell is 34 and he is playing the best basketball of his career. With all these damn high schoolers coming in, now people are thinking late 20s is too old? That's absurd.
There is no way that trade benefits the Magic in any way except salary loss, and the Magic are more worried about becoming a winner as soon as possible than having cap room
Im not saying 27 is too old but woudlnt u rather have guys that are the same age as dwight so they can play with each other for forever or a guy who is gonna wear out by the time hes around 33+ because his style of play. And by then no one is gonna want Steve Francis.
No one will want Francis then? 33 isn't very old in this league and Francis will grow up by then and his game could be complety changed. And you answer your question, no we don't want players Dwight's age. We wan't players than can help lead us to the playoffs and hopefully further, hopefully sooner and not later. That's what Grant Hill and Stevie Franchise can do for us, something Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard cannot.
