Has anyone seen this cartoon? With Peter Griffin the lovable oaf father, Lois the adoring wife and mother, Meg and Chris the teenage kids, Stewie the hilarious baby who wants to take over the world, and Brian the talking family dog.

I started getting watching it a couple of months ago and am absolutely addicted. The whole cast is hilarious and I find myself laughing my proverbial ass off every time I watch it, even if it's an episode I've seen a hundred times. It never gets old.

I was a Simpsons addict, and still enjoy it, but even that doesn't compare to Family Guy in terms of sheer amount of laugh out loud moments. Thought I would post some of my all time favourite quotes, excluding the one in my sig [IMG]

    Lois: You're drunk again.
Peter: No, I'm just exhausted 'cause I've been up all night drinking.

Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
Peter: I'll tell you what it's not for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.

Peter: The deep south? Isn't that the place where the black guys are really lazy and all the white guys are just as lazy but they're mad at the black guys for being so lazy?

Peter: Well, I'm gettin' something really special too. And by special I don't mean special like that Kleinaman boy down the street. More special like... like Special K, the cereal. Hey, what do they do with the regular K? And for that matter, what ever happend to K. Ballard? You know, if you said mallard and you had a cold, it would sound like ballard.
Brian: Do you listen to yourself when you talk?
Peter: I drift in and out.

Meg: I just want to kill myself I'm gonna go upstairs and eat a whole bowl of peanuts.
(Lois and Peter stare in silence)
    Meg: I'm alergic to peanuts.
    (Peter and Lois keep staring)
Meg: You dont know anything about me. (runs upstairs)
    Peter: Who was that guy?

Stewie: I was under the impression the name of the show was "Kids Say the Darndest Things," not "Old Black Comedians Never Shut the Hell Up."

Meg: Everybody! Guess what I am?
Stewie: Hm, the end result of a drunken back-seat grope-fest and a broken prophylactic?

I've seen this cartoon, it recently got taken off TV much to my dissapointment. I love the jokes on it, as Supersonic said, they are just funnier than the ones on The Simpsons. Any word on new episodes?

WOF Contestant: I'd like to solve it please. The phrase is 'Go tuck yourself in'.
Chris: Aw bad luck dad, you were close again!
Peter: Yeah, though I can't believe I missed the phrase 'My hairy aunt'...

Well it got taken off TV, but the DVD sets sold so well that they are apparently making a few more new episodes. I heard rumours of a movie too, no idea if that's true.

[IMG] The baby is probably the best character in the show.

I love Family Guy... I've seen every episode on the 4 disk DVD collection at least twice. I cant wait till they make new shows starting in 2005. Like SS said, all the characters are funny...I have a spot in my heart for Quagmire and Peter though. Some of my favorite quotes...

Peter: I'll handle it, Lois. I read a book about this sort of thing once.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't nothing?
    Peter: Oh yeah.

Brian: Ah, the old alma mater. I tell you, there's something magical about Brown.
Chris: Brown is the color of poo. Ha ha ha!
    Brian: Yes. Yes it is.

Peter: What are you gonna make me do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? 'Cause I'm married.

Family Guy is hands down the best show ever created. I've got all the episodes on DVD and watch them just about every day; it never gets old. Here are three of my favorite quotes -

Peter - If you could be stranded on a desert island with any woman in the world, who would it be?
    Quagmire - Taylor Hanson.
Joe - Taylor Hanson is a guy.
Quagmire - You guys are yanking me. "Hey, let's put one over on Quagmire."
Peter - No, he's actually a guy, Quagmire.
    Quagmire - What? That's insane. That's impossible.
    [Pause]
Quagmire - Oh god! Oh my god. I've got all these magazines. Oh god

Peter - If I was half the parent Brian is, I'd know that Chris's favorite ice cream is
    Brian - Chocolate chip.
Peter - And Stewie's favorite bed-time story is
    Brian - Goodnight Moon.
Peter - And Meg's real father's name is
    Brian - Stan Thompson.

Brian - "Hey Peter, it's seven o'clock and you've still got your pants on. What's the occassion?"

Family guy still shows on adult swim. It's pretty damn funny. I got the season one and two dvd set. Stewie is quite a character along with the whole damn cast. My favorite episode for a while is when Peter was singing can't touch me that was funny.

Oh man, that's one of my favorites. I love the part where he says "I don't care if you are handycapped; I'll still park in your spot", and then he chains Joe to the back of a moving truck. That's almost as good as the episode where he finds out that he's black.

Haha when Peter found out he was black, that was definately a good one.

Lois' Dad: Oh my god. He's violating Sea Breeze.
Peter: No, he's just awkwardly positioning himself... OK, NOW he's violating Sea Breeze.

Stewie: Damn you vile woman, you've impeded my work since the day I escaped your vile womb.

Meg: I finally get my driver's license and the car gets taken away, how ironic.
Peter: Meg, don't talk to your mother that way, she is not an iron.

Stewie: Isn't it funny how they say "life is like a box of chocolates"? Well in your case, dear mother, life is like a box of active grenades!

Peter: We love the Bible in this house.
Francis: Really. What's your favorite book of the Bible?
Peter: Uhhhhh... the book where Jesus swallows the puzzle piece and the man in the yellow hat has to take him to the hospital.

Stewie: The breakfast thing. Yes. It wasn't even about the eggs, really. Frankly, I like the yolks. I don't... I have no problem... it's just there's always been a lot of tension between Lois and me. And it's not so much I want to "kill" her. It's just I want her not to be alive anymore. Uh... I sometimes wonder if all women are this difficult.
And then I think to myself, "My God! Wouldn't it be marvelous if I turned out to be a homosexual?

    [while Peter is changing Stewie]
Stewie: No, you idiot. That's not baby powder, that's paprika. Ahhhh! Take that.

Li: Stewie, come complete our rainbow.
Stewie: I've got a better idea. Let's go play "swallow the stuff under the sink."

Stewie: Yes, I rather like this God fellow
He's very theatrical, you know, a pestilence here, a plague there. Omnipotence. Gotta get me some of that.
    Man I love Stewie

    Guys...

Don't leave your family guy episodes in the car for more than a day; it will really mess them up beyond repare. I learned this the hard way; now I have to replace all seven dvd's. There goes a good 100 + bucks. [IMG]

Losing the dollar value is nothing compared to losing comedic entertainment value. I am sorry.

^Probably the second-most funniest cartoon next to the Simpson's. I still have to give it to the Simpsons though based on their long history.

One episode (amongst many) I remember is when they all acquire super powers. Can't remember any quotes but it was a pretty damn funny episode.

This is the funniest show ever created (exaggerating, but it kills the Simpsons), but seriously I've seen every episode and I love it.

    one of my favorite quotes:

Dennis Miller: I don't wanna go on a RANT here but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowolf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first Battle of Antetum. I mean when a neo-conservative defenstrates it's like Raskalnakov filibuster dioxymonohydrostinate.
Peter: What the hell does RANT mean?
