Heres the Link ,but it doesnt say the details of the contract though. How big of a conract do you think we gave him, and how long?
I think it's 3 years. First-Round Draft selections get a guaranteed contract, so I'm guessing it's a 3-year deal.
Looks like I was right... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The 76ers signed first-round pick Andre Iguodala on Friday. The swingman was the ninth overall selection in the June 24 draft. The NBA collective bargaining agreement sets Iguodala up for a guaranteed three-year contract worth $1.645 million in 2004-05, $1.727 million in 2005-06, and $1.809 million in 2006-07. The 76ers have a $2.261 million option for 2007-08.</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
Im sure the sixers will never regret this, Iggy is the man. Iggy is going to be an allstar a few times before he's dones his career. BTW is Iggy keeping #24 or is he #4 now?
i still would've rather had Beidrins, but oh well what can you do. At least he's signed and we don't have to worry bout him. I've got one question... How can the sixers management really say this guy is more atheltic than Scotty Pippen! He is on of the 50 greatest players ever. They better not overhype him and doom his career before it happens...remember Shawn Bradley (the list goes on)
Is he more athletic right now, then Scottie was when he came out of college? If so, then that is a good comparison IMO.
i guess your right, but we've been tortured by overhyping players that turn out to be complete duds. I hope this guy is like a Pippen type player. But I've gotta see it to believe it
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Ghost:</div><div class="quote_post"> BTW is Iggy keeping #24 or is he #4 now?</div> He's getting #4 as I belive #24 was sported by Bobby Jones and I belive he has his jersey retired (help me out, fans who live in Philly) Iguodala gets 2 times more money than Boozer would if he stays with Cavs next season! Poor 2nd rounders.
