<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Could it be that Tuesday's blockbuster trade involving Tracy McGrady and Steve Francis might have a direct effect on the Sixers? With Houston looking for a point guard to get the ball to McGrady and Yao Ming, and coach Jeff Van Gundy known to be a fan of Eric Snow, perhaps the Sixers and Rockets could work something out. Sixers president Billy King denied Tuesday night that he has had any conversations with Houston about Snow. Snow's four-year, $25.6 million contract extension is set to kick in after he earns $4.875 million next season. The Rocket with the closest salary to Snow is Juwan Howard, who was part of Tuesday's trade. Howard is making $5.4 million with at least three more guaranteed years after that, followed by a player option for a fourth in 2008-09.</div> Full Article Article courtesy of Tom Moore/PhillyBurbs.com This trade is most likely not going to go down, just because of the fact that Billy denied such claims, but still it's a good read. Also, if this were to happen then we wouldn't have a true point guard. We would have a big man in Howard but then that would mean we could use the MLE to shop for a point guard. I don't like this even if it were to somehow happen, I'd rather have a solid point guard, then have a big man.
Plus Juwan Howard is as big as a bum as Coleman. Howard is an over-rated minute hogging bum. Believe me I'd much rather just keep Eric. Picture having a squad with 2 Derrick Coleman's on it. Not Good.
Yeah, Snow is pretty good. I am very curious to see what the Sixers do in the offseason. They better do something!
I think they will do a trade that invovles Coleman, I think Billy King always have something up his sleeve.
i hope they get rid of Eric snow, just not for Juwan Howard...he's a bum. Isn't Coleman in the last year of a large contract? If that's the situation then i say keep him for the last year here so that we can get cap relief next year. Him and Bid dog ought to make a nice salary cap space to sign some FA's next season, unless they gets oem really good talent back i say don't trade'em...keep'em and be patient...time to rebuild
I hope the 76ers dont get Juwan AHoward because he can't play anymore he just isnt what he used to be. Eric Snow is a more vital part to this team he shouldnt be traded until they get another proven point gaurd(willie green??).
don't know about willie green jsut yet, he does have soem skill and tools to run the point. He needs another solid year of good playing time to be a starter. I like his overall game, and i totally agree with Howard point u made, he's a bum
Let eric go some where else he a good guy but we need a point guard too help AI. Eric had his time so let willie green run the point or bring back my guy larry lughes. How about that fellas. Maybe yall don't know what yall are talking about so hush up now.
Maybe we don't know, maybe you don't know. Larry Hughes, Willie Green, both inexperienced players when relating them to Snow. Snow has led this team for a long time, and kept it together, even this season. I agree he is getting old, and needs to be traded, truly I don't know how you could make such foolish comments though.

He just old and fat now can't blame hime most of the players that came in the same time that he came in are already retired or on their down hill slide.
He brought up the hype himself when he first entered the NBA, everyone thought he was destined to be one of the great power forwards. What is happening to his career now is that even lottery teams are passing up on him. Shocking, I think not, he didn't take the time to perfect his game, and let go of himself. You cannot say that we shouldn't blame him because his draft class was providing great talents along with himself. We should blame him, because one gift that he was given he has ruined it, and has put a professional franchise in business trouble because of it.

Sure, he'll give you 8-10 points a game at times, but that will happen every two games. One game he'll give you 6 points, and the next game, his knees will trouble him. Then the next game he'll drop 12-14 points, and won't show up the next two games.
Howard is a decent player- can give u 17 ppg/8 rpg easily and is a character guy on and off the floor...I think Snow would be a perfect fit in Houston, altho we'd like it if the guy had some sort of jump shot beyond 10 feet...but we do have a plethora of PFs and Howard would give u some inside presence plus help with the upcoming of ur rookie...This would also allow u to develop Willie Green more...with a starting lineup of Dalembert/Howard/Robinson/Iverson/Green...yall would easily atleast place 5th or 6th in the East...

Do we have the new or the old Coleman around now? Did he somehow misterously go back in time, and alter his performance? Of course I'm talking about the new Coleman, it's what we have to work with. Duh.
