last night the evening show was coming in from seattle where the host (jim kozimore) was doing the show between wnba games. he was talking all night about the rumors that are going on up there regarding the Kings looking to aquire Brent Barry. would be a definite step up from peeler and could back up christie and bibby. i really dont think that it would happen though because that would leave us very very heavy at the 1 and 2 position. do we really need 6 gaurds on a roster??? (and thats assuming they dont resign peeler)
I wouldnt mind Brent Barry, but not through a trade. More likely, I think they should make a run at him because he is a free agent. If they can sell him on winning championship, maybe they can snag him and strengthen the bench.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MR_SAC_KING:</div><div class="quote_post">If Brent Can Help The Kings Out,I'm all for it But do we really need Brent??? </div> the only reason I can think of getting him is if you are getting rid of someone else. such as jackson and peeler and not expecting any real contribution from your two gaurds that you picked up in the draft. who knows what the heck Petrie is thinking

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wade05:</div><div class="quote_post">Petrie is a smart GM... Barry is a good player... </div> yes he is and yes he is. its just very hard to guess what petrie is up to during the off season... but thats part of why he is so good. (dont mistake what sac king & I say about Petrie, we both think he is a great GM, just that its really hard to figure out what he is thinking) <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wade05:</div><div class="quote_post">if we get him that would be great...</div> im not saying that it wouldnt be great... but...what the heck are we gonna do with six gaurds on one lineup?

I don't know if they plan to use him as a second wingsman to back up Peja with the Rookie... Martin is tall enough to be a small forward, but needs to gains weight... As much as they like Minard I really don't see him getting many minutes... Christe also could be a backup for Peja and guard SF... What Devon told me is that he is sitting back, using the phones and seeing what he can do his offseason... He is also really interested in Jamal Crawford... He has liked him sense his rookie year... So keep your fingers crossed he makes a good move Im gone
Let me Clear something here: I Like Petrie, and i think he is a good GM,it's just sometimes he doesn't think about what he's doing at times, but hey we all do that sometimes Petrie is someone that i want to stick around the Kings organzation for a long time..Does anyone agree with me here?

I do! He is prbably the greatest thing that has happened to the Sacramento franchise... he is the reason we turned around... Thank god we got rid of that St. Jain guy. Im out
i totally agree. he took this team from a pit stop on the road to a real NBA team to a legit contender with some of the deals he has made. and in those deals, some of them were heavily questioned at the time but they have for the most part all worked out as well as expected.
Pertrie isn't that bad of a guy,but he could think a little more with his head ,but other than that,he's alright with me
