I've been hearing a lot of rumors regarding Derek Fisher. The latest one I've heard is the Rockets offering their 6.9 million trade exception + Tyronn Lue in a sign-and-trade for Fisher. Is there any truth to this? Fisher has publicly made it known that he would love to sign in Houston. Where do yall see him ending up?
1. Lakers 2. Rockets. 3. Raptors The reason why I mention the Raptors is because Rob Babcock, the Raptor's GM, is or will be pursuiting Fisher if Troy Hudson falls short. I hope we get Fisher. He's a very disciplined and mature player.
I think he will bea Rocket...I would liek Lue back in L.A. I like his game he plays big for a little guy, he isnt afraid to take shots...that can be a negative though...He played shutdown D against AI in the Finals.
I'd like to keep Fisher in Los Angeles, but, that's just not going to happen. Gary Payton decided to come back for the final year of his contract so that just shot down any chance of having Fisher in a Lakers uniform next year. I expect him to be a Rocket because of the loss of Francis. Granted they got Lue in that trade, I'd think it'll be a sign and trade like someone said earlier.
I originally thought Fish would go to Houston, but with Houston's offer to Brent Barry (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=fanb...nball&type=lgns) maybe he won't leave. I have a feeling that Fish just wants to be a starter.
Fisher does just want to be a starter and deserves to be, but I hope the Rockets land Barry, Barry is one of my favorite players and one of the top FA, then maybe Fisher is probably going to start for the Raps
If Houston land Barry, there is rumour of Seattle targeting him as a replacement. I hope that's true, Fish is just the sort of tough leader we need at the Key.
Is it true Fisher is that set on starting?? I've been hearing the Rockets will likely land Barry and STILL sign Fisher as a backup...Personally, I'd rather have Fisher than Barry simply for defensive purposes...
