I'm just as disappointed and angry as the rest of the Kings' fans this season, but I'm sick of everybody putting it all on Chris' shoulders. During the T-wolves series, I remember long strecthes in the game where ONLY Chris was making his shots and keeping them in games which should've been complete blowouts for the Wolves. Everytime the wolves would make start to make a run, C would hit a shot to stop it. Rest everybody, including everybody's beloved Peja was bricking them. There are 2 guys who held their ground this post season on the Kings IMO, and they are Chris Webber and Mike Bibby. Yea Chris has injury problems, yea he's a liability, but WHO but Chris and Bibby showed up this postseason? Nobody. I think if there's any player the Kings need to get rid of, it's Peja.
Doug Christie showed up. Also, I'm pretty sure nobody is hating on Cwebb. Most of the blame is put on my beloved Peja.
The Kings have had a very successful team for a long time now, and their fans expect results. When the Kings don't get the results, their fans blame it on something. What they blame it on varies, it goes from refs to injuries and just about anything else imaginable. If they are to blame it on a player for this season, Webber is the obvious choice. The Kings were doing great in the regular season, but upon Webber's return, they suddenly started struggling. Because of this, it's vary easy to blame the Kings losses on him. But in the playoffs, Webber was almost doing everything. He was everywhere against the Timberwolves in the playoffs. The fans shouldn't be blaming everything on him, because without him, the Timberwolves would of advanced a lot easier. He shouldn't be hated on by Kings fans, he struggled when he got back from injury but made up for it in the playoffs when guys like Peja just seemed to disappear.
not hatin on webber, he did the best that he could last season with the injuries... wasnt good enough though. a lot of what i say when im talking about trading webber away is because im looking at the fact that there is no way to make certain trades without trading him due to his large salary. if you can get better at the forward position OR get drasticly better at the center position and have miller start at forward, then thats the way it has to be and i fully endorse trading webber. i have a lot of respect for webber and he is a nice guy off the court (i have met him a couple times)
I Have no problem with Webber peroid...as he's one of My Favorite's...the only thing that kinda irks me is his big mouth,on how he shoots it off,but in the past couple of years it hasn't been as bad as it use to be Granted he didn't contribute as much as he could have,but he was hurt for most of the year,and take that into what you will say about Webber Basically I have no problem's with C-Webb!

ok.. but why are they better? you have to look at last season as an abberation. they were up against the wall & during the regular season everyone stepped it up a bit. when he is healthy, he is pretty good... (not great.. but still pretty good) and id rather have him then a lot of PF's that can manage to stay healthy to tell you the truth. he isnt afraid to go inside, he isnt afraid to defend anyone. he isnt afraid to take the last shot of the game even when its not his best shot selection (such as the last second 3pt shot in game seven against the Twolves). he may not have made it, but he was the only person open for it.. it had to be a three point shot, he keept his head level & realized it... took the shot.. maybe it didnt go in, but they dont always and he isnt known for his three point ability to begin with. i will admit i dont care for his attitude at times, but there are a lot of other guys on that team that do things from time to time that i dont care for either. not saying you HAVE to like him.. or that you are less intelligent if you do. just wanted to get an idea of what you dont like him is all

wheeeeeeeeeee another free for all.... i love these. Please dont tell me that im not a true fan or anything of the sort. I choose not to put blinders on when I discuss the game. The cold hard truth is that the kings need defense. and unless they get some, they are not going to make it to the finals. that does NOT mean they should just forget the whole season and call it off. and I can back up every single comment I have made so far. there is no point now saying who would have won if there were no injuries. the game went the way it went. Its not making an excuse for the Kings in saying that they had some really key injuries last season, and the season before that. Its a fact. The same as its a fact that Webbers knees are now in question. That is a fact you cant argue with. In the coming season we will be able to see whats up with his performance. That is another fact. Dont put the blinders on, just admit they have a few things that need to be addressed in the coming season. That doesnt mean you arent a real fan if you point them out. just means you are willing to talk knowledgably about the game.
