It's a good thing that we won't be talking much to Rodney, I hate him as a player, and as Billy said we need a taller player.

Bleh. Not much of a Doleac fan. Would rather see Foyle here.

Agreed. I'd MUCH rather have Foyle here.

Looks like I was right. It seems as if they're not solely looking to sign Mark Blount. Well out of Foyle and Doleac, I would want Foyle. But it's more than likely that they would sign Doleac. Why? Well for starters he doesn't demand as much money as Foyle. And most importantly he posses something that coach O'Brien is searching for and that's hitting outside shots. O'Brien is looking for shooters to spread the floor out, which is something that will help Allen Iverson out tremendously. So if King fails to sign Blount and ended up choosing between Foyle and Doleac, don't be surprised if he takes Doleac.

BTW, here is another article relating to this:

    _______________

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Boston free-agent center Mark Blount remains the 76ers' primary target in their search for a big man. But not the only one.

Billy King, the Sixers' president/general manager, confirmed that he has contacted the agents for Milwaukee's Brian Skinner, Denver's Michael Doleac, New Jersey's Rodney Rogers and Detroit's Rasheed Wallace.

King also confirmed he left a cell-phone message for Phoenix's Keon Clark, who does not have an agent.

NBA teams were permitted to begin negotiating with free agents Thursday.

New coach Jim O'Brien, coming from the Celtics, thinks the 7-foot Blount has the knowledge, experience and skill in the defensive schemes he plans to implement.

The two met at 12:05 Thursday morning at Blount's home in Boca Raton, Fla.

"We have a close relationship," O'Brien said. "Whether that relationship will lead to him being a 76er remains to be seen."</div>

Rodney Rodgers is not a bad player IMO, but he lacks size and he is inconsistant on the defensive end,he is a good shooter and an ok scorer(some times) though, but he is not the player we need.I woul

Also I would rather have Foyle then Doleac,Foyle is tough on the defensive end and he would give us blocks and rebounds.

doesn't anybody get frustrated about hearing all of the possible nba moves and why the sixers are never a part of any of them. I mean were talking about Blount and other guys while the Nuggets are talking about Martin and Suns are getting steve Nash and maybe Kobe. Why can't we be managed smartly enough to ever be in situations like those? Is Billy King the problem here?

Billy King is definetely the problem here. You cannot do major movements when you're over the cap. Billy got us so far in there, that we can only offer 6.7 million player to any player in the NBA.

Our cap situation was fine, when Pat Croce was here. Since Billy took over he has been a problem, financially, and performance wise, since we have not had a career like Croce's last one (the Finals run)

Exactly, and what made matters worse was that he signed Derrick Coleman. Before Pat Croce stepped down, he specifically told members of the Sixers organization NOT to sign Derrick Coleman, and what did they do...

Most teams are over the salary cap, about 70% are.
