<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Nuggets are one of the most active teams during this free agency period, and amongst all the big names that will be visiting Denver, All-Star power forward Kenyon Martin is the top priority. The Denver Post reported that Martin would not sign anywhere else until Nuggets general manager Kiki Vanderweghe has a chance to offer him a deal. Despite being a member of the Nets, Martin worked out with Vanderweghe each of the last two summers. Martin is a restricted free agent, which means that the Nets can match any offer he signs.</div>

    Very interesting.

Since the Nets can match any offer given, do you think the Nuggets would go ahead and give him a max deal? Several sources have said the Nets are willing to do anything to keep Kenyon and the 'big three' together, but then again I've also read they do not want to go over the cap and the max contract was still up in the air.

We'll have to see what kind of offer the Nuggets will offer Kenyon.

That is interesting. He could take a deal from the Nuggets and that might end up making the Nets give him the max if they really want to keep him around. But, in the end, I still see him ending up with the Nets, whether it's with a max deal or not.

The Nuggets are the greatest threat to KMart being a Net next season. It can be a good thing for me as a KMart fan, but not as a Nets fan. I think the Nuggets will offer the max.

If I were the Nuggets I would not get K-Mart, he is a really good player but you guys have Nene already.

Here's why I think the Nuggets wont sign Kenyon Martin because the have Nene who is developing into a great power player and will continue to and because the Nuggets want to sign Quentin Richardson the up and coming All Star but some consider him a "head tapping fool". Q is the future any team he's on he's gonna be good and keep on improving until he is in his prime which isnt for a long time. SIGN Q leave kmart.

Well, personally if I was Vandeweghe, I would do everything within my power to get Martin, but I thought they already used some money to re-sign Marcus Camby? Something like a $60 Million deal. Im not exactly sure how much money the Nuggets have to spend, but if they are going after Kmart after the money they spent on Camby, then damn. [IMG]

Come on man, thats like saying you have the chance to sign Jason Kidd, but you already have Jason Williams. I mean, Nene is a great player but he is a very weak rebounder for a PF. Yes he may be only 21, but I'd get Kmart. Who knows, maybe Martin could teach him to be more physical. Plus, Marcus Camby isnt getting any younger, Nene has the size and the bulk to take some of the Center duties.

    Update!

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Having lost out on free agents Manu Ginobili and Quentin Richardson, the Nuggets are turning their attention inside the paint and may be preparing a maximum offer to Nets free agent forward Kenyon Martin. According to the Denver Post, K-Mart received exactly that from the Hawks after he visited Atlanta this week, which may push the Nuggets to deliver a six-year, $85 million appeal to Martin. The Nets would then have the opportunity to match, if not exceed that offer, but there is uncertainty in New Jersey about which direction new ownership wants to go in.</div>

He hasn't signed it yet, KingCarmelo. If Denver offered him the same deal, I'm sure he'd take it over Atlanta.

I say they must give the max offer to Martin. Kobe will not come to Denver under any circumstance. I'm sure Martin would like to play for Denver and not Atlanta.
