Indiana want to trade Artest for Bonzi and a first round draft pick, so we trade Artest with Watson and Posey or Battier in a sign and trade for Kobe, the Lakers will keep Shaq and with Artest and Posey will have a solid team, we just need to get Dampier for Swift/Ren or Outlaw.

Our roster will look like tittle contender:

    JWill/Burks/Bell
    Bryant/Miller
    Battier/?
    Pau/?
    Dampier/Swift

    That sounds pretty realistic...

This is the most unrealistic stuff I've heard in a long time. First of all, Ron Artest makes significantly less than Bonzi Wells, so the deal couldn't work out. Second of all, Ron Artest is significantly better than Bonzi Wellls, and Bird wouldn't do this trade in a thousand years. Bonzi Wells is an Indiana kid, but just look at his stats compared to Artest's. Artest out scores, rebounds, and assists Bonzi Wells. Artest's best attribute, his defense, doesn't even show up in his stats too much either. He's on a whole nother level than Bonzi. And why would Los Angeles do that trade? Just go back to the drawingboard with this one. [IMG]

Well there are several rumors saying that Indiana wants Artest out due to attitude problems, and Kobe is unrestricted free agent so if he wanted to come, the Lakers may have nothing in return, so they will agree to a sign and trade. I know Bonzi/Artest trade is a steal but worst things have been done...

Ron Artest is a beast, I'd just like to point that out.

And second, that trade is ridiculous. I wouldn't want it, and Mitch Kupchack certainly wouldn't want it. (He's an idiot, remember. Shaq > Kobe in the real world.)

How's the Artest for Wells fair? As Voodoo Child pointed out, Bonzi is not of the same calibur as Artest. To get him, the Grizzlies would have to give up at least Earl Watson and James Posey, who is somewhat an Artest-like player.

Let me put it like this: Artest=Defensive Player Of The Year 2004, and a All-Star!
Bonzi: A player who threw a ball in the face of a teammate during practice and laughed afterwards when the striked player fell to the floor!

My point is, The team that is going to get Artest is going to give something good for him.

Kupchack would have to sign and trade him, something he has repeatedly said that he won't do. And if he'll shop Shaq to make room for Kobe, I don't see him trading him.

If Kobe really wanted to leave, Kupchack would sign and trade him, if he prefer him to go to the Clippers or the Nuggets for nothing... NBA General managers do strange things... but that would be silly...
