<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kyle Korver?s summer progress took a step backward when he suffered a left MCL sprain in workouts on Monday, July 5. The forward will not be playing with the team in Minnesota and will begin rehab immediately. The injury happened when Alhaji Mohammed was going down the lane and Korver came over to defend. The two players bumped knees with Korver getting the worst of it. Korver stretched and jumped afterward but the Sixers pulled him off the floor to get his knee examined. ?You are concerned any time, anybody gets hurt,? Head Coach Jim O?Brien said after the workout. ?I don?t think it is a dramatic injury, but it is on the inside of the knee. Best case scenario he could have played at the end of the week, but we are not going to do that to him.? </div> Full Article Article courtesy of Sixers.com/NBA.com
This is bad for the sixers if Korver is out for even the first few games of the season it could end up being bad. Korver is a vital part of this team and if you guys want anychance of making to the playoffs you better hope he's back. I know I'm making him sound too valuable but im not stretching it. He's important to the sixers and will because of his 3 point ability.
Bad news,I wonder how serious it is though I am prety sure if his injury requires rehab then it is probally serious, but I wonder if it is four months serious,I hope not.
It's just an MCL sprain relax, he might be ready to go before the preseason if he rehabs well enough.
I pondered on whether or not I should have posted this. But seriously, this is nothing serious. There is a chance he may miss a few preseason games (I doubt that he will), but it's nothing to get worked up about. Korver is going to be just fine.
