Let Jalen Rose walk and sign Derek Fisher. Im not sure about this but somewhere I heard that Jalen Rose is a free agent this summer and if he isnt than stick Jalen back in there at PG.

What makes you think we will even come close to Erick Dampier? We have about 4 mil in cap right now, and hes going to be asking for 8-10 mil, there is no chance of us getting him. Be realistic.

We just signed Mo Pete, I doubt we're going to trade him, since that money you think we have won't go to Dampier, we can use that for an FA PG.

Right now this thread doesn't make any sense because the free-agent signing period isn't over, so prediction who we might sign is a little odd, considering that most of us have no idea. I think we should post a lineup when we actually sign someone rather than get our hopes up for a FA that won't come here.

    SG - Vince Carter
    (Fact)
    -----
PG - Troy Hudson / Alvin Williams
    (Mystery)

Just by looking at the starting line up, I just don't think it's good enough to contend against the vastly improved teams in 2005.

    C - PAPE SOW/aroujo
    PF - CB4
    SF - marshall
    SG - vince
    PG - jalen

Word is pape sow is gona be good and was a steal for that albert miralles guy if he gets some minutes n aroujos been solid in college, but then again the raps hav quite a history in drafting european busts (ie alek radojevic). I was at the raps NBA draft party at the acc n we were assured that ther was no way we were gona sign someone like erick dampier which was babcocks explanation as to why we picked aroujo instead of someone like luke jackson. As well, we don't have any bigtime names in tdot to attract FA's like hudson or fisher, nor have the management stated that we're interested in them. We have about 4 mil in cap right now. It'll be hard to get rid of Jalen because he's being paid more than vince is and isnt even close to him in production. Marshall is a solid player and ther is no reason why he wont be starting. If aroujo and pape both turn out to be busts, it'll be back to last season with bosh playing an unnatural position at center.

Yeah right, he fills the stat sheet every night! Played 82 games, almost averaged a double-double, shot 40% from 3 and plays solid D. The Raps need to keep him.

What about Damon Jones signing as a free agent? When TJ Ford got hurt, Jones did a great job for them. I believe he had a few games with 10 or more assists. He's a pass first point guard. I like him. What do you guys think?

ya sign damon jones, we are reallyin need of a pg, we don't have any natural pg. ALvin isn't really a natural pg imo, hes just abit undersized at the sg with a lil pg skills. So i think we need to sign any available natural pg that is at least decent.
Also, whoever said Marshall has no talent needs to watch some games. If i am right he avged a double double for raps , and shot extremely well from 3 and blocked alot of shots.

He averaged 7.6 assists in 28.3 minutes as a starter (26 games starting), that's pretty good, and for the season 5.0 assists in 22.8 minutes.

Ya, I thought he played really well for the Bucks. I'd sign him, especially since he will sign for a small contract.
