http://www.indystar.com/articles/3/205037-1143-036.html Eh... Good luck with that. Although, I don't see why he shouldn't get it. He caught it. The one that tied the record and the one that establishes the final record (assuming Manning throws a TD pass next week) will be just as important if not more. Then again, Manning would probably be okay with giving Stokley the ball, but I'm guessing that the Hall of Fame will have something to say about it. Who do you think should get it?
The ball belongs in the Hall of Fame. I'm sure it would go into a display case with pics of Peyton throwing the ball and Stokely catching it. Stokely just needs to chill and quit looking like such a ball hog.

I think you guys are being too hard on him. SHOULD he get the ball? No. I would say 1. HOF 2. Manning 3. Stokley. I would bet deep down Stokley would agree. But you know what? I would WANT it too. If they are dumb enough to give it to him, then he should take it. It doesn't hurt to ask or want. I don't know that he would go as far as saying Manning doesn't deserve it .... if he has or does say that .... I will stand corrected. Otherwise, he can ask all he wants. Of course, I wouldn't give it to him :cheesey:
I heard his interview and he never said he wanted to keep the ball, he said he wanted to take the ball home and sleep with it for a night.....he knows its going to the Hall of Fame eventually.....
YO ppl, they're was 4 records set on Sunday. LT set a record for most games with consecutive running TD's, Gates set a record for most TD's by a TE, the Colts set a record for most receiving yards by 3 WR, and 3 WR with 10+ TD's, and Manning set the TD record. Manning will hopefully not play on Sunday afternoon, cuz the Colts can't afford an injury. I suspect he'll start, and they'll go from there depending on how the game is going.
