New York trades: C Cezary Trybanski (0.1 ppg, 0.1 rpg, 0.0 apg in 2.1 minutes) PF Othella Harrington (4.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.5 apg in 15.6 minutes) C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes) SF Shandon Anderson (7.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 24.6 minutes) New York receives: SF Eddie Robinson (6.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 20.1 minutes) PF Jerome Williams (6.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.1 minutes) SG Jamal Crawford (17.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 5.1 apg in 35.1 minutes) Change in team outlook: +6.5 ppg, -1.9 rpg, and +3.4 apg. Chicago trades: SF Eddie Robinson (6.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 20.1 minutes) PF Jerome Williams (6.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.1 apg in 24.1 minutes) SG Jamal Crawford (17.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 5.1 apg in 35.1 minutes) Chicago receives: C Cezary Trybanski (0.1 ppg, 0.1 rpg, 0.0 apg in 7 games) PF Othella Harrington (4.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.5 apg in 56 games) C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 80 games) SF Shandon Anderson (7.9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 80 games) Change in team outlook: -6.5 ppg, +1.9 rpg, and -3.4 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to New York and Chicago being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York and Chicago had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. It would be a sign-and-trade deal...Jamal Crawford would sign a new deal worth about double his 3.5 contract Chicago gets two defensive minded veterans in Kurt Thomas and Shannon Anderson. They also get two expiring contracts in Trybanski and Harrington. Plus they get rid of those two horrible contracts in Eddie Robinson and Jerome Williams. Jamal Crawford is the SG of the future. Junkyard Dog is a fan favorite. E-Rob is a decent back-up. New York would also still have the mid-level exception which they can use on Rasheed Wallace...this is hoping that his family will still want to come to New York Knicks 2004 Starters PG-Marbury/Frank Williams/Moochie SG-Houston/Crawford/Penny/D.Johnson SF-Thomas/Penny/D.Johnson PF-Rasheed Wallace/Sweetney C-Nazr Mohammed/Deke

They already have a shooting guard that makes more than the entire state of Maine. No way is NY gonna take his big contract too. Having said that, I'd love to see that trade. Would like to see the Knicks with some muscle in the paint. Haven't seen that since Ewing. Thomas is a good player, but he's not the superstar the Knicks should have, and with their payroll, they should be contending.
You've got to be kidding <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> New York would also still have the mid-level exception which they can use on Rasheed Wallace...this is hoping that his family will still want to come to New York </div> No way will Rasheed Wallace just play for the mid-level exception. Thats only like 5 million and sheed is worth more than that. Hes worth at least 10 million if not more. He would be stupid to take that deal and its only good for 1 year.

NYK are gonna sign jamal to a big contract only to have him comming off the bench!?! wherever JC goes, its to start. count on it
Joe Dumars is already confident that the Pistons will re-sign Sheed,so you might as well get the though out of your mind that he will come to NY for less money.
Dream on buddy. Thomas is having difficulties making an offer to JC OR Sheed. Then you're saying that they can get them both?
You really don't understand...Paxson(Chicago's GM) is dying to get rid of Jerome Williams' and Eddie Robinson's contracts...Paxson is interested in veterans and expiring contracts. Thats exactly what we are giving him in Othella Harrington, Cezary Trybanski, and Dikembe Mutumbo...Paxson can have his choice. Of course Rasheed Wallace is a super long shot but it's possible. And if you sign for the MLE that doesn't mean its a 1-year contract.

He already made enough money in Portland
wat about this trade....houston for crawford and jyd...dont think that zeke isnt lookin to get rid of alan houston...than jamal crawford can be the starting 2 guard...and marbury and crawford will be one of the best backcourts in the leauge!
Houston is almost untradable because of his huge contract. Now he also has health issues, so I don't think any team will risk trading for him, think the Grant Hill fiasco...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting magicfrankie:</div><div class="quote_post">Sweet dreams you mean... this trade is never gonna happen...</div> Sorry but I have to agree, this will never happen.

You'll have better chances of getting JC for your MLE. But Sheed for the MLE when Detroit is offering him more money and another chance to win a ring? I don't think so.
This wouldn't happen. I realize Paxson might want to get rid of ERobs and JYDs contract, but, this isn't the way to do it. This is a terrible trade for the Bulls I think. The big reason is because they're losing their #1 guy in Jamal. The only way I would trade off Jamal is if you get something good from him. And, the only reason you trade him is if you are wanting to start Ben Gordon already. I don't do this trade. Crawford is still young and is very talented. He started coming into his own last year and had a good year, and, to top it off, he's still getting better. This is why I don't trade him. Plus, it's like InNETSweTrust said, I doubt that NY wants those contracts. The only reason they make this trade is to get Jamal Crawford, and, quite frankly, they don't need him. They have a ton already, and, to top it off, pretty much every one of them is overpaid. I don't do this. It's a bad trade for Chicago and NY doesn't need another shooting guard.
Crawford would be a nice fit in Seattle but they got Ridnour and Daniels. JC wouldnt fit well in NYC with the Knicks because there's too little PT to spread with him, Penny and Allan.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sheed has already said his next contract won't be about money, but about where he wants to play. He already made enough money in Portland</div> No offense, but I'll believe that when I see it. Sheed isn't likely to sign a contract for MLE or less so he can play somewhere "he wants to play". In the words of Kevin Garnett: "It ain't about the loot". Which of course was said right after signing a contract for over 100 mill.
I'd really like to see this trade happen... if it ever did, which it never will... since we're talking jibberish how 'bout a cool trade Alan Houston for Grant Hill, or Jerry Stackhouse?! hahaa
for some reason i just can't picture Marbuy and Crawford in the same backcourt... i don't see any chemistry there... but i could be wrong, doubt it though. if the knicks are to sign Crawford, i think they'll have to unload Penny somewhere... they'll be overloaded with Shooting Guards.... i don't even know what else to say, the Knicks are a mess
