Signing Okur was Part II of the Suns' Plan A after Phoenix secured a verbal commitment from Dallas point guard Steve Nash on a six-year, $66 million deal. The Suns, sources said, are readying an offer to Spurs swingman Hedo Turkoglu with some of their leftover cap space. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/stor...=1834831','181' I guess there is no faith that Zarko will pan out to spell Marion or that Casey will improve to give JJ some rest. This really dissappoints me. I hope we don't give him a long contract. I had seen Ginobili rumors coming out of SA but didn't post them because I thought they were crap, but I guess not. We just couldn't afford him. But Hedo's cheaper it seems. MAn. This really sucks to have young talent that won't develop. Also, why Turkoglu? In the same article it says that SA is letting him go because they are pursuing Brent Barry so they can get better perimeter shooting.
Turkoglu is kinda streaky, but a good backup. when he is on he can really give the other team some defensive problems especially when he has other perimiter shooters around him. When he was with the kings, he did have it together enough to give Stojakovic a run for his money to start at SF. but that was one year and he was never as good after that.
