Not even the contracts, they don't really need any of them as players either, they're a decently deep team, and with some more additions they'll be good (in depth).
I agree. I would love it if the Raps were able to get Dampier but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have a chance if we were only to give up Marshall and a filler(s), especially a filler with an unattractive contract such as Alvin or Lammond. With all the insane dealings going on this off-season, I'm sure there'll be plenty of teams bidding for his services that would have MUCH better offers on the table. I think the only way to get him would be through a trade involving VC or Bosh and I don't think any Raptor fan would be willing to do that (unless of course, VC demands a trade).

I'm wondering why we didn't go after McDyess when we still had some money to sign someone....I know he's a PF but he has the size to play some center. If the Araujo struggles, he could've started for us or come off the bench if Araujo plays well (as if that's going to happen) he only signed for 4y/23 million....he's a risk but I still think he has something left and he was an all-star when he was healthy. thoughts?
Keon Is keon still injured? I think he is a free agent this year, but I haven't heard anything about him. Let bring back all the old raps  Merged your thread here. -Franchise
he insulted VC, i don't think he wants to be back.. every time he leaves a team he insult the team (Kings, Raps)
you have a good point there, but it would be kinda cool to see bosh and keon. The match stick front court.
Yeah...let's just leave toothpick legs in the f.a. market so he can go to another team and build up a bad rep there as well.
well...it looks like damp is going to the knicks or the ATL. knicks are offering nazr and othella in a sign and trade. atl is offering money i dont get it...you'd think that g-state would rather have donyell, moiso and a furture first rounder. or donyell and lammond and a future first rounder. seems like a better deal to me. so with damp off the market, looks like the raps are gonna need to make a trade in order to get a center. who should we go after? is zydrunas an option? maybe haywood from washington?

I highly doubt they did..

Most of these ideas seem fair, but you have to think to yourself... Is either Rob Babcock or Washington even thinking about a trade (that involves Haywood). He would be an excellent pickup but I don't see how it could happen (or thought of) other than just a realistic trade idea from a fan. Also, I think getting Dampier is out of the question unless the Knicks get him for a deal involving Vince, which would be out of the question in Babcock's eyes. Right now I'm not going to get caught up in getting a C right now, because with our cap space and the reality of getting a deal done it doesn't seem likely to happen. Maybe we can get someone for cheap with our 1.5 mil left from LLE, but that wouldn't help us that much.

It's not certain, but it's possible, I don't like it though, Hayes is not a SF and will never reach his full potential playing the 3. Anyways, Haywood is their only real Center/ backup big man depending on how the lineup goes, thats able to play consistent minutes right now, so the trade won't go also because we don't have much to offer for him righh now. Washington doesn't really need depth except for at the PF/C, so why would they give up a PF/C?
Steven Hunter is available Steven Hunter is available, he was just released by Cleveland. Do u think we should pick him up? He is cheap and I would rather have him than Loren Woods. Merged your thread here. -Franchise
i prefer woods. woods is much more skilled on the offensive game and hunter is too raw for my liking. although, the raps could probably get both.
Jeez, both Woods and Hunter have been like Moiso: underachievers. Both of them are not worth signing and would be wastes of money and roster spaces.

We need veterans who have proven themselves in the league and is dependable to produce right away, not some youngster who we hope can be a gem.

Quoting og15:

SKinner will be getting more than 1.6 million, look at how much everyone is getting paid this off-season, and Skinner a Center (more of a PF), who averaged 10.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.05 blocks in 28 minutes isn't going to be gotten for that kind of money. Especially since he made like 1.4 million last year, and he opted out of making 1.65 million this year.
I don't know about that. It's getting a little late into the off-season and with all the huge contracts that were thrown out, alot of teams aren't able to afford players they would like. Skinner deserves more, but I think this may be one of those situations where he sings a one year contract for something in the 1.5 million range and hopes he has an impressive year and can get a big contract next year. Sort of like what Rafer Alston just did.
