Yeah, that's awesome. I saw him in SLAM and I already am a fan of him. He's the same height as T-Mac, so watch out for Dorell Wright. He's gonna be good, someday.
It doesn't matter if they lost by 100. The topic here is about Dorell Wright scoring 30 points in his first game ever. Plus, it's only a summer league game.
That's some pretty impressive stats for a kid in his first game, even though it is summer league. I remember last year LeBron only scored like, 14 in his first game. Granted he didn't have much of a jumper and relied on his athletic ability to score most of his points, but yea, just saying. Who knows, Wright could be a lot further along and ready for the NBA than everyone else think.
This is serioulsy crazy, there were so many doubters. I kinda felt he had it in him. I really would like to see him do really good his first season. Hopefuly he can get minutes his rookie year.

After all, he was the same heigth as MJ and had amazing athleticism.
It's just one game, and does anyone know how he scored his points. I heard he was also getting mascred on defense, but all I want to see is good shooting, defense, and good ball handling, scoring isn't a huge proirity right now, but it's good to know he can put the rock in the basket.

Am I not allowed to point out to people who may not know yet, that he's the same height? And by saying, "so watch out for Dorell Wright" I was just finishing off my post and opinion. I wasn't saying, he's 6'8'' so watch out for him. Dude, you got to "read" the posts more carefully. Haha, you got owned!
I heard on ESPN from David Aldredge that Dorrell Wright might be traded in the whole Shaq-Miami trade. Shaq to Miami for Eddie Jones, Brian Grant, Dorrel Wright and Lamar Odom. I`m hoping instead of Dorrell it will be just a future first round pick instead.
Don't worry about that, the Shaq to Miami trade involves Lamar Odom, Brian Grant, and Caron Butler, not Dorrell Wright. Dorrell = Jason Richardson, without the amazing dunking ability.

You need to make your posts clearer, because by saying "He's the same height as T-Mac, so watch out for Dorell Wright" means watch out for his height. If you wanted to make two different points in "He's the same height as T-Mac," and "watch out for him" you have to separate them in different sentences. Correction: you got owned.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">i can't believe this thread is experiencing so much life, newsflash kids!!! its summer league.</div> So it doesnt matter....by the way Dorrell Wright plays you can tell that hes gonna become a great NBA star...you never know hes got a good chance at becoming rookie of the year....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting zac5556:</div><div class="quote_post">you never know hes got a good chance at becoming rookie of the year....</div> Like a lot of guys mentioned, it's only summerleague....Kobe averaged almost 30 a game in his first summerleague...he then went out and had a fairly uneventful rookie season. On the other side, Lebron struggled in summer league, then went out and won (a disputed) ROY....so summerleague isn't a great indication of how they're going to play their rookie years...I find it very unlikely Wright even gets mentioned as a ROY canidadate
What you guys dont take in to consideration is, Jarvis Hayes dominated him offensely and Jarvis Hayes didn't guard him...
