Keyon Dooling is hands down my favorite Clipper. He actually ranks up there in my top 5 favorite players in the NBA (behind Kobe, TJ Ford, Odom, and Wade). He's a player that never really got a love from the fans or from the coaching staff on "the other LA team" but he has so much potential that I feel the Clippers really just let his talents rot away on the bench. In his little time at Mizzou he used to dominate with his quickness, leaping ability, length, and overall athleticism. I had high hopes for him when he was drafted by the Clips but a lot of injuries (mostly due to the fact that he has a tendency to try and dunk on everybody...even ben wallace) have slowed down his progress in the NBA. Still, I think that at 6'3 and with his long arms (not sure of his exact wing span but his arms almost look relatively as long as Cutino Mobleys) he could be a premier PG talent in the league. His shot needs some work, but his decision making has improved dramatically in the past year. He is very creative and sees the court well (when he wants to) and he has very good play making abilities. The biggest plus to his game though, I believe, could be his defense. I have watched many a Clipper game and just waited for the Clippers to let him loose to go clamp up the opposing teams PG. To my dismay, it rarely happens because Dunleavy won't give him the shot, but I have watched him get put up against TJ Ford and some of the other quickest pg's in the league and most of the time he is every bit as quick / athletic and a couple inches taller with a much longer wingspan. I think with the right coaching and the right opportunities he still could become a premier pg in the league and while I'll be sad to see the Clippers let him go (which I think will happen and I'd love to see him come to the Lakers) since they have seemingly committed to Livingston being the future (not unjustified) and I love watching his game so much. Has anyone else had a chance to watch him play a lot and any thoughts on his current abilities / future potential and possibly a team that might be able to use him and maximize his talents? I personally think he would fit in well on a team with a lot of sweet shooting spot up shooters, a team like a Seattle, Milwaukee, or Dallas. Either way, wherever he ends up, I hope his career takes off...imma big fan...
