<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> On Tuesday night, the Washington Wizards coasted to a 30-point victory. They picked up another victory the following night against Orlando, only this time it wasn?t so easy.

Steve Blake poured in a game-high 20 points, including the game-winning jumper with 1.8 seconds left, as the Wizards edged the Magic, 79-78, in Game #5 of the Pepsi Pro Summer League at the RDV Sportsplex. Jarvis Hayes scored 15 points for the Wizards, all in the third quarter. Dwight Howard tallied team-highs of 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots for Orlando, while Jameer Nelson recorded 11 points.

Britton Johnsen nailed an 18-foot jumper, giving the Magic an early 9-3 lead. The second-year forward finished with 13 points and sevcen boards. However, the Wizards fought back with an 8-2 run and tied the game at 11, following a three-pointer by Harold Jamison. Orlando held a 13-11 advantage after the first quarter, despite missing 14 of its 19 field goal attempts and committing eight turnovers. Washington shot 28.6 percent and recorded eight turnovers of its own.

The first half was marred by a combined 28 fouls and 28 turnovers. Blake recorded nine points in the second quarter, including 2-of-2 from three-point range. However, the Magic still led at halftime, 36-32.

Hayes took over for Washington during the third quarter. The second-year forward blistered the nets from almost every spot on the floor with an array of jump shots. Hayes went a perfect 6-of-6 from the field and scored 15 points in the period, but the Wizards trailed, 59-57, heading into the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth affair. With 5:34 remaining in the contest, Howard took a feed from Pete Mickeal and rocked the rim with a two-handed jam, tying the game at 67. Moments later, Howard ripped down an offensive rebound and converted a three-point play to extend Orlando?s lead to 72-67.

With less than a minute remaining, Nelson drove down the right side, put a spin move on Blake and scored the go-ahead layup. However, the Wizards answered right back, as Jeffries buried a three-pointer with 21.1 seconds left, giving Washington a 77-76 advantage.

On the next possession, Jimmie ?Snap? Hunter pulled up on the right side and scored on a short jumper with 6.2 seconds remaining, putting the Magic back ahead by one point, 78-77. Blake however had the final answer, nailing the game-winner from the right wing.

Orlando?s Keith Bogans, who led the team with 24 points during its loss to Cleveland on Tuesday night, suffered a sprained right ankle late in the first quarter and did not return to the action. He is listed as day-to-day.</div>

Now that's more like it! I'm glad he didn't hang his head and came back strong. how bout those 4 swats again very nice. I won't be surprised if nelson takes away mobley starting job sometime this season. I hope bogans will be ok.

Things are looking good. Bogans really shouldn't be in the league to begin with, so he is going to dominate. Howard is showing quick improvement and I think that the slump he fell into his first game has to do with a bit of nervousness, not a lack of talent. Let's hope that he continues to play this well.

I told you guys he would bounce back. 15 11 4 isn't a bad night. I'm still waiting for a really good game. (20+ pts) 5-12 from the field I believe, so much better than 1-13. Hopefully Jameer will start at PG for us and move franchise to SG and either mobley, hill, bogans to start at SF. Hopefully Bogans will be back.

Dwight is showing some board skills! I believe people underrated his defense and overrates his offense. Jameer is gonna make some impact. No doubt about it!

Great improvement shown by Dwight and Jameer. And this is just the summer league. They're going to be phenominal in the pre season and season if they keep up the effort. But we lost to the Wizards that's the only thing that upsets me.
