Hey I`m AllenIverson3, I`m a huge 76er/Maverick fan, my friend told me about JustBBall.com and I`m loving it. Heres my question: Do you think Devin Harris will be a good fill in for Steve Nash? Comments?
Yes, he will be awesome. Nash had such a sweet stroke, cold blooded shooter when we needed a big bucket, pushed the tempo, played a style that seemed out of control, when in actuality, he had the best assist to turnover ratio in the league. Top Three point guard in the NBA. Devin Harris can be all that and more. But the scary part is that he won't be all that right away. It might take a whole season...or more. I'm not sure this team or it's fans wants to wait that long, but they should (remember the boos Nash was getting years ago). The Big 3 is gone. Now we have the Big 5! Harris, Daniels, Howard, MBenga and Dirk. (Yes, you read that right, Finley is a role player now)
Yes I remember the boos, but I think harris will step right into the positon, not as a starter but as a bench player and probably get 6th Man honors. and how can you say fin dawg is going to be a role player?
hey have a good time here. And if Steve Nash leaves which he probaly will than Harris will have a pretty good year.

Finley is probably not going anywhere because of his contract. Some of us like to dog him a little because he can't dribble without looking at the ball, doesn't take it to the hoop enough to get to the freethrow line, and is sometimes laughable on defense even though he should be better. Having said that, we forget that he is truly a great scorer that can flat out light it up. Easily Finley can put up 30 points in a game or 12 in a quarter. Don't get me wrong and say I'm comparing him to Kobe or TMac, but the truth is, Finley is one of a handful of players in this league that can get their shot any time they want it. This scoring punch is how he can play a role for Dallas similar to what the Microwave did in Detroit. Honestly, I'd like to see him win the Sixth Man award next year. My starting lineup would certainly have Daniels starting over Finley. But hey, if Don wants to start Finley because he is a team leader, I'm fine with that, but don't build the team around him. He needs to fit into a roll, while the team is built around Dirk, Daniels, etc...

I'm a huge Nets fan and if your friend told you good things about JBB, he's right. hehehe. He'll be a good fill in, but not great. He's a rookie after all. But he'll be solid considering the fact that he's not really experienced at being a PG. Welcome to JBB!
