Skinner to Philly?

    Skinner, a former first-round pick who played for the Sixers during the 2002-03 season, played in 56 games last season for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 10.5 points and 7.3 rebounds.

    The Sixers were in hot pursuit of Blount and put in a call to Detroit Pistons free agent Rasheed Wallace, a Philadelphia native. But by signing Skinner, Philadelphia has effectively taken itself out of the running for Wallace, who is expected to re-sign in Detroit.

    Skinner, 28, is considered one of the league's better offensive rebounders. </div>

    Well he is beter than Doleac,he has been on the Sixers before thats probally a reasomn why he decided to re sign with us,he gives us more dept but he should not start,also I dont like the big contract but oh well hopefully he will keep producing and not fade away.

    Well he didn't get overpaid, maybe the contract length could be the concern. 5 Million is a good deal for him. Who'll start at the C? Skinner? Dalembert or Marc Jackson? Hey what about Todd McCullough. I hope he makes a successful comeback...but that can be a while away.

    This is great imo. I would of rather of had Skinner than Blount anywayz. Should help with Dalembert. He could backup the 4 or 5 prolly. I don't think he will come in an start. As for McCullough we need him to retire so we can get him off the cap seriously. It's sad but it's a business in the end and they have to get that cap room back asap.

    It's a pretty solid deal since he will only get the MLE his first season, and once we clear cap space with Glenn, Todd, and Derrick's contracts, giving him the 25 million will be no problem. The thing I like about Brian is that he brings hard nosed defense, he has a good rebounding game, pretty much what we need.

    As for the comment on Todd comeing back, it won't happen. His career is in the shi*ter, the man has a really serious disease that limits his walking abilities, yet alone him running up and down the court in a professional basketball setting.

    Did anyone watch him last year with Milwaukee? The guy was beast, I`m so glad we got him instead of Blount. He`ll be a good complement to Sammy D.
