    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting sportsrock37:</div><div class="quote_post">http://www.nba.com/magic/news/New_Jersey_v...-113424-66.html

Dwight had 16-12. Britton Johnson had game high 20. We won 94-67 without Jameer and Bogans who both missed the game because of injuries.</div>

Nice to get a win even if it's summer league.

Dwight has been a monster on the boards and almost half are offensive boards so that's real nice. here is the boxscore http://www.proexposure.com/stories/0708b.cfm
7-12 this time in less mins so he is improving every night.

Do you ever stop? How do you call yourself a Magic fan when you don't even say positive things about them?

Dwight Howard has been impressive on the defensive end. Things should be interesting when the season starts and he starts going against real competition every night. His offense should improve, and Johnny Davis said it best: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I thought Dwight did a nice job defensively," Davis said. "He was pressing a little bit [offensively]. He didn't shoot the ball particularly well. But offensively, I'm not concerned. That will come.</div>

I could care less if we won the game because it's Summer League. However, I'm more concerned about Jameer and Bogans because of their injuries.

anyway i noticed dwight is getting at least 4 blocks a game in the summer league, i know its not the nba yet, but we may have gotten the best of both worlds in howard...offensive and defensive presence [IMG]

Monster game by dwight. He's proving his stay so far IMO. Jameer and Bogans with injuries don't sound good. Hopefully they will heal soon.

Stop what? I'm just stating the facts.

Dwight did play good, but why isn't anyone praising Britton. Afterall, he was the player of the game.

Actually Magic have won 21 games last season and some before so that wasn't a fact...

Dwight played good against the Nets, as expected against mediocre opposition, and we did get the W so I'm sort of happy.

But the Jameer, Bogans injuries still trouble me. I hope they are not serious and the two will be healthy once the season starts...

Jameer and Bogans have minor injuries. They'll be back tomorrow. Magic just wanted to play it safe as they've played 3 games in a row now.

And the reason nobody praises B.J is cause he also played well last season for the 1st month then faded big time. I don't even think he was in uniform after the 1st month.

He played well when he was under contract with the Magic. From what I could gather, he was always on a 10-day contract, nothing more. So, after the first few weeks of the regular season, they didn't sign him again, but I do remember that about 3/4 of the way through the season, there was a small feature before the game about him coming back to the Magic again. I just wish that the Magic would give him a full year contract since I think he's a good player off the bench as an 11th or 12th man.

Nah, you can only sign 10-day contracts midway through the season, and you can only sign 2 consecutive ones, then you have to decide whether to keep him or dump him, that's what the Magic did later (run on sentence). He wasn't on 10-day contracts at the beginning of the year.

Actually, the Nets best player so far in summer league has been Brian Scalabrine. He seems to be trying to earn the every day basckup forward spot that was left vacant once Rodney Rogers became a free Agent. I guess by saying John Wllace was Nets best player is saying that there roster stinks. And you are right the Nets roster stinks. But its summer league, just about every teams roster is jus bad. Summer league is just to evalute indiviual players not the entire team per say, teams usually have a since before summer league starts of who that are going to focus on & evalute,of course durig summer league their is always some guy(who you wasnt expecting much from) that comes & show you something different. But for the most part teams have about 4 or so guys who they are really focus on. And the rest of the team is just filler.

How is Desmond Penigar doing? I know he is on the Nets' roster. Remember his brief, 20-day appearance with the Magic? lol

He didn't shoot well, 0 from 6 I think. Orlando vs Nets Stat Link.

Letting Pendigar go was a huge mistake by Orlando. We could have had a really cheap contract for a decent hustling player...

BTW, Jimmy 'Snap" Hunter and Mario Kasun are doing well statictically in Summer Camp.
I wouldn't be surprised to see both on Magic's roster next season...

I really like Mario Kasun. He has been in the last 3 summer camps. I believe he's a 7 foot banger that can shoot a mid range j with ease. I wouldn't be surprised if he made our roster, especially if we trade Gooden and Declerq.
