http://www.nba.com/spurs/news/summer_leagu...ers_040702.html Looks like he's on the Spurs Summer League Roster. Damn, can we trade summer league invitees so we can get him?
Those Pietrus kids, they have good genes. Florent is actually his older brother by 2 years; he's an inch taller and a bit slower, more of a forward. Great defensive instincts, he's got the same big leaping ability and was an incredible shotblocker. Offensive perimeter game is lacking, though, just like Mickael.
I don't know. I betcha we can find some peeps that know the Euroleague. All I know was that the Pietrus brothers were on the same team that won the championship in their league. They're both very good defenders, but obviously Pietrus was good enough to be selected in the first round of a draft. Not sure about his brother. I think he's an under sized power forward or a small forward with very limited range (a la Jerome Wiliams, the Junkyard Dog). I think Flo' Pietrus was described as a good defender and good dunker. Good athleticism. http://www.nbadraft.net/profiles/florentpietrus.asp I'll find some other profiles later if I come across it. But its not like we're going to get Flo just because he's related to Mickael. It would be nice though kind of like how the SF Giants had the Alou brothers.

But he's a great defender. Maybe a Bo Outlaw type player but with the less bulkier body of the Corliss Williamson (strength and speed combination)? I'd have to see this guy in action to really tell.
I would love to pick him up. I wish we would have. How do teams pick up these guys? Just off the street? If that is the case, there is no reason why the Warriors should not have at least picked him up.
He was in the 2003 draft, same as his brother, but went undrafted. I'm sure the Spurs contacted him or the other way around. As a defensive specialist, he can work as a role player. There are actually 3 Pietrus brothers who are all ballers, but I've only seen Mickael and Florent play, since they were on the national team together.
