Smooth booze smooth.. You really let me down. I though Boozer was staying a cav, back on topic this is really bad for the cavaliers, how are they gonna match the contract with only 4mil on cap space?

    wow. benedict boozer indeed.

i was SURE i saw an interview where booze said he likes cleveland and so does his wife and he plans on staying there.

why would you NOT want to stay and play along side a budding superstar like bron?

this just weakens the already weak east, and gives the jazz an INCREDIBLE front court of okur, booze and ak47. NICE line up in utah. crappy deal for the cavs.

you guys have my sympathy. really crappy deal for yall.

greed. nothing but straight up greed. its sickening really

Carlos Boozer quote: "I want to be in Cleveland," Boozer said Thursday (July 1st). "I like it here. My wife and I are very, very happy here, and I want to be with the Cavaliers. Good things are happening. Now it's up to my agent and the Cavs to work things out. I hope they will."

Carlos Boozer quote: "I'm thankful for everything the Cavs have done for me," Boozer said. "A lot of teams didn't think I was worth it and let me slide into the second round. But they were the ones who gave me a chance and let me play as a rookie. That doesn't happen much in this league unless you're LeBron."

Rob Pelinka quote: "Carlos and his wife, C.C., made it clear to me that they are very comfortable with the Cavaliers' organization, owner Gordon Gund and the direction the team is going," Pelinka (Rob, Carlos's agent with SFX) said. "I'm confident that Jim and I will continue to have conversations and we'll be able to work something out."

Carlos Screwoozer really backstabbed the Cavs with this move. I cannot believe the Cavs didn't protect themselves from allowing Boozer to sign with another team. I'm sure they could have had a legally binding contract signed and approved by the Player's Union. Instead the Cavs loose him to the Jazz for nothing, and are pressed to replace him without any cap space. All this after the draft has passed and the Cavs were not able to draft a big, for example, Biedrins, Humphries, Swift, or Jefferson.

My only question is there more to this decision by Boozer than just the money? And can the Cavs make the necessary moves to free up money to match the Jazz offer?

At this point the Cavs are likely going to have to trade Big Z. Dallas has always been interested in him, and they just might do a deal to keep Boozer away from the Jazz and out of the West.

Another suitor could be the Nuggets, they are willing to deal Nene, and they have other young players who they could package for Z.
