One of my alltime favourite tunes, 'Wild Horses' by the Rolling Stones, is IMO about a father's strained relationship with his daughter, yet he vows to keep loving her. Supersonic, I too love interpreting song meanings and figuring out what they mean myself. I've figured out what every single Red Hot Chili Peppers song means, minus a few here and there. I love absract concepts and symbolism in their songs. I'll sit down and really listen to the lyrics, and the songs <font size="1">(again with a few exceptions)</font> don't seem to stay on the same subject matter the whole song. This is the only RHCP song I can't figure out or find lyrics too. It seems like a simple song about a former love interest and the love they had, but I know Keidis is a lot deeper than that. Some really great lyrics with deep meanings come from TOOL. All of their stuff is so complicated to interpret but once it is, it's so simple and beautiful.
I do the same thing with U2 lyrics. Bono is one of the most in depth authors I have ever had the pleasure of reading lyrics too, and while some songs seem simple, you can be sure there are deeper meanings tied in there. Lots of songs can be interpreted different ways, often written that way on purpose.

"Hard Times," from Killah Priest's "View from Masada" album definitely has some meaningful lyrics. Priest is most underrated rapper out and I feel that lyrically no one is more talented.
