Yes I believe they should of lost. The reason is because Detroit came to play the whole game and the Vikings wanted to play the first 58:30 of the game. I really don't understand why or how the Vikings defense could just give up 80 yrds to the Detroit Lions with 90 seconds left and no timeouts? The worst performance that I have seen in a nfl in a game by a defense. Thats why I am calling for Tice, coaching staffs, and Big Red's head!!!

I can understand your frustration, but remember that we have no secondary...everyone that was supposed to start at corner is now hurt.

What good will come of firing Tice and the entire coaching staff?

Fact is, they won. Detroit played a good game, the Vikings have a bad defense...that's not a secret. I'd give the defense 1-2 years before it is really good...there is some great talent, it just needs to come together.

well, since i dont live there, i didnt see the whole game. i saw the philly game which was justa s bad.

but back to subject, i did see the final 2 minutes or whenever williams took the lead. ive enevr seen detroit play so well in those 2 minutes.

what i liked is that after the botched snap, no one went over to the center n started screamin at him.

as far as the name of this topic goes, im not so sue they shouldver won, cause O/T os anybodys game.

With the Talent that the Vikings have on the offensive side of the ball, they should be blowing every team out (ala Colts). There is no excuse, I think there is time for a change. I think Jimmy Johnson would be a perfect fit as a coach there.

cant believe it that after all that they scrrewed up and didnt force OT, i dont think it would be good to start screaming at the C i mean he knew he screwed up u dont have to start screaming at him and make him feel worse he wanted to win too. I saw after the game Mooch talking to him in a huddle with another player thats better coaching than screaming at him

If they had a defense, they would be blowing people out. The problems on defense are not necessarily the coaches fault though. There are three problems areas that I see:

    1. D-Line - Kevin Williams is coming on very well, Spencer Johnson looks like he is developing well, and give the coaches credit for finally benching Hovan who disappeared. Udeze will be a very good lineman...this group is close to being excellent.

    2. Linebackers - There is a TON of talen with the Vikings linebackers. Unfortunately, that talent is being completely wasted as the linebackers are all very young and immature. If players like Dontarrius Thomas and E.J. Henderson can mature a little bit and play a bit smarter, this will be an extremely good linebacking group.

    3. Secondary - The secondary is thin, and the first round of defenders has been injured the past few weeks. Ken Irvin was taken out for the whole season and losing Winfield was the worst thing that could happen to the defense.

Back to the topic of the game...yes, it was another horrible 4th quarter effort by the defense. There needs to be a lot of work on that group, but its going to take time.

My thoughts exactly we should be blowing these mofos out of the water game after game and Jimmy Johnson being a perfect fit wow. He's everything that Tice isn't!!! He's proven coach with connections, motivational skills and a 3 time Superbowl winner. Vikingfan you couldnt tell me you would pick Tice over Johnson. If you would pick Tice over Johnson than I guess you would rather see Vikings fall flat on there face year in year out than win a championship. I bet if given the right amount of money he would come back to coach in the NFL.
