Why can't Paxson just re-sign Crawford? Crawford is a good player sure he still has to practice on making smart decisions when it comes to shot selection, but he can work on that...Well this article brings up some good points and I like his agent he seems to really care for crawford.. No offer from Bulls has Crawford, agent boiling over I hope the bulls don't do the trade with the Knicks, if they do Crawford is going to become an All-star with the Knicks under Thomas, who shows a lot of respect for Crawford.
I really hope that he gets resigned. I think he's a great player with all star potential. He just has a tendency to take some questionable shots throughout the game. But, I dunno. It all depends on if Paxson wants to throw the rookie Ben Gordon into the fire immediately. That's what he's looking at if he doesn't get Crawford. I think, if he's gonna get rid of Crawford, do it during the course of the season so Ben gets a chance to learn the offense and what is needed of him before you throw him into a starting job. This is just my opinion and what Paxson does is up to him. I would like him to resign Crawford and I think he will, but, I've been wrong before.
Jamal will be re-signed, and he is a great player, but his game still needs to mature a little just like the rest of the bulls. I think that they will sign him and look to deal him somewhere else, i am not sure what they would trade for because they have solid players at every position right now.
Paxon just has to sign Crawford or the backcourt for the Bulls will be messed up. Without Crawford being in the 2 spot and Heinrich at the point guard position, it's going to be hell again for the 6th straight season.
Paxson does not like Crawford at all. Frankly, <strike>neither</strike> do I. I don't know why any of you think he is good.
Well I know if we don't have Crawford next season, then he would be replaced by some New York scrubs. Although I don't like crawford that much, I'd stilll rather have him on our team than one of those players.
Heinrich has essentially made Crawford(and from what I've heard, his piss-poor attitude) expendable, doing in 1 year, what it took Crawford 3+ to get to. The only discernable differences between thier stats is that Crawford scored more points this season, but Heinrich had better 3pt%. Granted, If I were Paxton, I'd try to find a way to fit them both into the backcourt. However, If he can upgrade the team by trading him, I fail to see the harm in trying to do so. God knows the Bulls could use the help.

There is reason why they got Ben Gordon, and this could be it. It' very likely he will be starting next season as the shooting guard if Jamal Crawford does not return. He's very familiar with that position as that is what he played in college for the most part. He occasionally had to handle to point. But, the only knock I have on him playing shooting guard is he only stands about 6'3", and that's kind of short for an NBA shooting guard. But I do believe he will be good. I think he's a great talent and will excel at the shooting guard spot if he does start there next year. If not him, they could move Deng at shooting guard and get someone to play small forward, but I don't see that happening. I think Gordon starts at shooting guard next year if Jamal Crawford does not return.
any you ever think that ben gordon might be the starting SG and they already know he'll be better than Jamal?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting BBall Guru:</div><div class="quote_post">any you ever think that ben gordon might be the starting SG and they already know he'll be better than Jamal?</div> I doubt that Gordon starts as long as Crawford is there. You never like throwing a rookie into the fire. Granted Hinrich did a great job last year, but, if you have a player who is capable of playing that position and playing it well, as Crawford is capable of, you don't start a rookie. You go with the one who has the NBA experience.
Gordon will start over crawford they wasted there num 3 pick on gordon so he is gonna be rushed into startin i think a trade is nescarry for the bulls they need to get a small forward just in case luol deng hits the rookie wall and they need to get a powerforward/center cause chandler and curry are absolute garbage but either way they cant have gordan hinrich and crawford they need to trade crawford they could get somethin good 4 him
Like I said earlier, Gordon won't start over Crawford. He wasn't a wasted pick either. It's called an insurance pick. They got him in case they don't keep Crawford. And, if they do keep Crawford, it definitely gives them a solid back up pg/sg this season in case they trade Crawford or if someone goes down with an injury. So, he wasn't wasted. Also, they're not going to start him. You never want to rush a rookie into a starting job. Plus, as long as they have Crawford, he won't start. Crawford has the NBA experience and is getting better every year. Crawford will start as long as he's there and Gordon will be the back up. Another thing, Curry and Chandler aren't garbage. Curry had a nice year last year, averaged over 13 ppg and somewhere around 8 rebounds I believe. He's developing pretty decently in my opinion. Chandler last year was bit by the injury bug. He only played in 35 games, starting 8 of them. That's why he had a bad season. Cause, in his 2nd year, he had begun developing nicely, as he started 68 of the 75 games he played in, averaging just under 10 ppg while getting just under 7 rpg. So, he's not garbage. He just got injured last year. And, if that hadn't happened, I feel he'd have averaged right around 13 ppg and 8 boards. So, I still think both him and Curry have very bright futures. They just each need to stay consistent and Chandler needs to stay healthy. Final thing here, they can have Hinrich, Gordon, and Crawford. Gordon, like I said, could very easily play back up, that is unless Crawford is traded. And, please, don't post boneheaded comments like a lot of the crap you put in your post. They get you absolutley know where. And, you know, if you come in saying stuff like that, at least have reasons behind your thoughts. Those always help.
