it was a good article, but it's just sad to not see Boozer and James grow together I thought they would be a great 2 punch for years to come.

Why would you want someone on your team that doesn't even have the integrity to keep his own word, and is nothing more than a liar? If I were LeBron, I wouldn't want someone like that on my team.

It was his team anyways.. But im not glad he left but i'm glad we didn't waste all that money on him when we got a lot cheaper replacement who has a lot of potential.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Where does this rank on the All Time Cleveland sports betrayal?

Cleveland Browns being sold to and becoming the Baltimore Ravens

Cleveland Indians dismantling their roster, including Manny Ramirez, Brian Giles, Richie Sexson, David Justice, Bartolo Colon

    Benedict Boozer</div>

Not a terrible list but Boozer is definately 1 or 2, along with Art POS Modell.
There were other factors with the Indians, like salary cap, personalities, and they were given a bunch of time to win, but didn't. While I didn't like how they were dismantled, I can't put them anywhere near the other two.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting insshc:</div><div class="quote_post">there was the deal with jim thome recently, but i think this is bigger than that
    damn</div>
    You're kidding right?

    Seriously?

That guy played his heart out and his ass off for Cleveland from day 1.
Thome would be in a "Cleveland Hall of Fame" if he retired right now or something.
He deserved the money he got, and Cleveland wasn't providing (because he didn't fit into the rebuilding plans). He just wasn't a good fit and IMO, they parted on decent terms.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting holyace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">Why the hell did Boozer do this, I guess money corrupts event the greatest, I thought Boozer and James would lead the Cavs to a championship in the future, but Paxson cared about Boozer and his family, giving him more money this season and Boozer betrays him..wow..I WAS a fan of Boozer, but now I hope his career doesn't sky rocket as I wanted it to, I still hope he plays decent, but NO Chamionship, NO AWARDS of any kind, just doesn't deserve it.</div>
You want him to succeed alot more than most Cleveland fans I'd bet, at least more than me. I'm hope he becomes one of the biggest flops ever, but I don't think that will happen.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting tankster:</div><div class="quote_post">There's at least 2 sides to every story, and a flip side to every coin. What amazes me is, after reading one viewpoint, how quickly the entire neighborhood buys into it. Particularly if its the dirt.
    ...snip...</div>
So, why would Cleveland just not pick up the option? Even if there was a little friction, I'm sure one more year at that little salary would have been great. They could even trade him after picking up the option, or just let him walk next offseason. It makes no sense from Boozer's idiotic mouth and Cleveland's position to not pick up the option. Get real.

Why would you have loyalty for a team that treats you like crap & ignores you in place of a younger kid even though you are team MVP? When Bron was hurt last year, the cavs were 2-1. When Boozer was hurt last year, the Cavs were 0-8

Ok you got a small power foward.. a 2nd round pcik and a 1st round pick 1st pick outstanding guard. Who the hell you think is going to get the team? Yea Boozer was not the team leader and he will never become one because his not good enough to be one.

The front office at cleveland says Carlos Boozer made a verbal agreement with them to sign, and in the offseason he betrayed them and signed with Utah. Boozer say's he asked them to let him try the free agency and says there was no verbal agreement in place so he's not a traitor and he wanted financial security so he took the better offer.

Hold up. I thought Boozer's agent was gaining notoriety among the league for being a crappy agent for Boozer, and that he found the offer from Utah?

Utah called Pelinka. Pelinka asked Boozer if he should take these calls, and Booz gave him the go ahead. P did get alot of heat during the whole situation. He buckled and decided to bounce to save himself of more exposure.

Lets remember this agent is no un-experienced little jerk. He's the agent of Kobe Bryant aswell as the former agent of Boozer. This guy got a huge reputation to keep, and that in a nice direction. When Boozer did this to Cavs, it would hurt his reputation, because he was probably withness to these things, and he had to resign to keep that reputation. Boozer on the other hand, wanted the money, and a bad reputation.

I really think the reason Boozer stiffed us was because he thought he might get bombed at the Olympics. Plus his wfie clearly has his balls in her purse.

Your absolutly right abuot that Loco, I believe Boozer's wife handles all of his financial situations and makes the decisions based on what "she" wants. Then again, I could be wrong, but it seems logical.
