clips kept a few players. imagine this lineup

    PG - Andre / Jaric
    SG - Q / Ricky Davis
    SF - Maggette / D Miles
    PF - Brand / Odom
    C - Candi / Kaman

this would be pretty sick....maybe a lil too young tho.

That is the team they basically had two years ago, not including Miles and Kaman. Where did you get Ricky Davis though? He was never a Clipper. During the 02'-03 season the Clipper starting lineup was good enough that they probably should have made the playoffs, but they were all talented players who wanted 15-20 shots a night and that didn't cut it. the lineup was:

PG: Andre Miller / Marko Jaric
SG: Eric Piatkowski / Quentin Richardson
SF: Corey Maggette / an injured Lamar Odom
PF: Elton Brand / Melvin Ely / Chris Wilcox
C: Michael Olowkandi / Melvin Ely / Chris Wilcox

That was a great lineup, but things just didn't work at all. Some had to go, and I still believe they let go of the right ones. Lamar had a troubled past with the Clippers, Miller was unhappy and complaining all year, and Kandi has just been an underachieving often-injured big man. Like I said, they had to let some go, but they kept the best players who gave them 100% every night, and didn't cause any trouble. If we keep our core right now I think we'll be a very, very good team in the future. Kaman is an up and coming big man, and we still have our reliable guys in Brand and Maggette locked up for another 5 years. Now we just have to hope Sterling stays committed to winning.

EDIT: oh by the way, there is no way we would have had both Miles and Miller.. We had to trade Miles to get Miller.

The lineup wouldn't have even made the playoffs..in fact, they didn't...

the lineup that shoud've happened IMO was

Baron Davis (the stupid clippers wouldn't give #12 pick and Miles for Davis)
    Corey Maggette
Caron Butler (at #8, Butler was available but they took Wilcox, another PF)
    Elton Brand
    Olowakandi (or someone else)

Yea the semi succesful lineup (39 wins) though was:

    PG -Jeff McInnis / Boykins
    SG - Pitakowski / Quentin
    SF - Maggette / Miles
PF - Brand / Odom (29 games, started 25 at SF)
    C - Kandi / Rooks

The reason? Brand, McInnis, Kandi and Q-Rich all played 80 games.
If the Clippers can have guys actually playing games they aren't bad.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PG - Andre / Jaric
    SG - Q / Ricky Davis
    SF - Maggette / D Miles
    PF - Brand / Odom
    C - Candi / Kaman</div>
Also yea no Ricky Davis, and Odom would start at SF over Maggette, who would start at SG over Q.

PG - Andre Milller / Livingsron / Jaric / House (IL)
    SG - Maggette / Q-Rich / Dooling
    SF - Odom / Simmons
PF - Brand / Wilcox / Ely (IL)
    C - Kandi / Kaman / Ely / Moore (IL)

We traded Miles to get Andre so they can't have both
